You know what struck me first about Nostalgia Suites? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. It’s tucked on Agion Apostolon street in Faliraki, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is – this isn’t the crazy party strip everyone thinks of when they hear “Faliraki.” The hotel sits in this quieter pocket where you can actually hear yourself think, but you’re still close enough to walk to Anthony Quinn Bay if you want that perfect Instagram shot (and trust me, you do). The building itself has this sort of vintage Greek charm that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. I mean, the 9.8 rating had me skeptical at first – those numbers usually mean either fake reviews or they’re charging you for breathing – but after staying there, I get it.

The suites themselves are where this place really shines, and I’m not just saying that because of the name. Each room feels like someone’s actual home, not a hotel room that’s been stripped of personality. The furnishings have character – think family heirlooms mixed with modern comfort, which sounds weird but somehow works perfectly. What really got me was the attention to small details that most places completely ignore. The bathroom actually has decent water pressure (you know how rare that is in Greece), and the kitchenette isn’t just for show – it’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the local market down the street. The beds are proper comfortable too, not that firm-as-concrete situation you sometimes get in Mediterranean hotels. And here’s something I appreciated – the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, so you can actually sleep with it on during those sweltering July nights.

But honestly, what makes Nostalgia Suites special isn’t just the rooms, it’s how the whole experience feels authentic. The staff genuinely knows the area and will point you toward the family-run tavernas that tourists usually miss entirely. They told me about this little beach about ten minutes away where locals go – no umbrellas or overpriced cocktails, just clear water and maybe three other people. The hotel itself stays pretty quiet even during peak season, partly because it’s not massive and partly because the location doesn’t attract the party crowd. Parking is actually manageable here too, which anyone who’s driven in Greek resort towns will appreciate. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling or hidden fees, just keys and helpful directions. If you’re looking for a place that captures what Greek hospitality used to be like before everything became so commercialized, this is it. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort, and that’s exactly why it works so well.

  It's a spacious apartment, with a terrace with sea view, it looks really nice, it is very clean and the location is just perfect. It is quiet, 2 minutes by foot from the beach, and very close by Faliraki center abd many other sights. And on top of that the owners of the apartment are soo friendly, they made us feel at home. We all loved it and would definitely want to go back.

  George and his mom are absolutely very professional and friendly. From the first moment you arrive in the room you can see that you have chosen a nice suite for you. Everything you could possibly need in the room has been thought of. A snack basket, coffee, food for breakfast in the morning, Greek traditional alcoholic drinks for the evening will be left for you as a gift. The room air conditioner is on, clean and cool and they deliver the room to you. They are in constant contact with you and provide what you need immediately. You can have your drinks on a large balcony, either at the table or on sunbeds with a sea view. The room is modern designed and very comfortable. In the kitchen there is a refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, oven and other items. Wifi is very good. The location is very close to everywhere. Bars street and the center is 10 minutes on foot. Kathara beach is right in front of you. Mandomata beach is 3 minutes on foot. And George also offers you a free guide service. He recommends places to see according to your preferences on the map. Be sure to go to the places they recommend for food and entertainment, you will not regret it. We will definitely be there again on our next Rhodes vacation.
