Okay, so Nephele Apartments in Faliraki – honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first rolled up. I mean, Faliraki has this reputation for being all about the party scene and cheesy tourist traps, but this place actually surprised me. It’s tucked away from the main strip where all the bars are blasting music till 3 AM, which is genius if you ask me. You get the best of both worlds – close enough to walk to the action when you want it, but you can actually sleep at night without earplugs.

The apartments themselves are way more spacious than your typical Greek island accommodation. I’m talking proper kitchenettes where you can actually cook a meal, not just heat up instant noodles. The woman at reception (Maria, I think?) was incredibly helpful – she gave me this whole rundown of which local tavernas to hit up and warned me about the tourist trap places near the beach. You know what really impressed me though? The balconies. Most places give you these tiny little things where you can barely fit a chair, but here you’ve got proper outdoor space. I spent most mornings out there with coffee, watching the locals head to work before the tourist crowds descended on the main beach.

The location is honestly perfect if you know Faliraki at all. You’re about a seven-minute walk from Anthony Quinn Bay – which, by the way, is absolutely worth the slightly rocky path down. Way less crowded than the main Faliraki beach and the water is this incredible turquoise color. The apartments are also close to that little supermarket on Ermou Street (the one that stays open late), so you can grab groceries without having to trek all the way to the center. Parking was never an issue either, which is saying something for this area during peak season. I stayed in July and there was always a spot, though I’d imagine August might be trickier. The whole complex is kept really clean – like, impressively clean for a place that’s not some fancy resort charging three times the price. The pool area gets decent sun most of the day, and there’s actually enough loungers for everyone, which seems rare these days. Only minor complaint? The WiFi can be a bit spotty in some of the rooms, but honestly, you’re in Greece – maybe it’s time to disconnect anyway.

  The accommodation is tidy and clean. Bed linen and towels are changed frequently. The ground floor stays relatively cool during the day thanks to the shading system, but the rooms also have air conditioning. Mosquito nets on the doors and windows keep insects out. Free parking is available right next to the house. The bus stop is a 5–10 minute walk away, and the beach can be reached with a 10–15 minute walk.

  The apartment is well equipped and very clean. Bed linen and towels were changed every two days. The host was extremely flexible with the check-out. The beach, supermarket and bus stop are within walking distance.

  The apartment has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, towels, clean bed linen, air conditioning, blinds on the windows, TV. In addition, the hostess was very welcoming and responsive. And the view from the window was magnificent (especially in the evening). And we had no problem parking our car throughout the week. Thank you very much for such a great stay in your apartment.
