You know what struck me first about Nautilus City Studios & Apartments? The building itself – it’s got this clean, modern look that somehow doesn’t feel sterile or boring, which is honestly pretty rare for newer accommodations in Rhodes Town. The location on Apostolou Papaioannou is actually brilliant if you know the area at all. You’re close enough to walk to the medieval Old Town (maybe 10-12 minutes if you don’t get distracted by all the little shops), but far enough away that you won’t be dealing with the chaos of cruise ship crowds every morning.

The studios themselves are thoughtfully laid out – I mean, whoever designed these actually understood how people travel. There’s proper counter space in the kitchenette, which sounds small but you’ll appreciate it when you’re trying to prep a quick breakfast or unpack groceries from the local market. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, not just hotel-comfortable, and the air conditioning actually works well, which you’ll definitely need during those sweltering July and August nights. What I really liked was the attention to small details – decent shower pressure, enough electrical outlets where you actually need them, and windows that open properly for those cooler evenings when you want fresh air instead of AC. The staff runs the place efficiently without being overbearing, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward.

Here’s the thing about this location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – you’re positioned perfectly to explore both sides of Rhodes Town. Walk one direction and you hit the atmospheric cobblestone streets of the Old Town with all the history and tourist spots, but walk the other way and you’re in the more residential area where locals actually live and shop. There’s a really good bakery about three blocks down that opens early (like 6 AM early), and the bus connections to other parts of the island are much easier from here than if you stayed right in the Old Town itself. Parking can be a bit tight during peak season, but honestly, that’s Rhodes Town for you – at least here you’re not competing with day-trippers for every spot. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings but settles down by midnight, so you get that authentic Greek atmosphere without the all-night party noise you’d find closer to the main tourist strips. That 9.3 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place genuinely delivers on making your stay comfortable while keeping you connected to what makes Rhodes special.

  The hosts are just fabulous, very friendly, and ensured that we had everything we needed. Communication was excellent, provided us with information on lots to do,see, and eat. Superb location easy walking distance to the old.and new town., we had a sea view room which was very nice. Rooms.where cleaned daily. Highly recommended.

  Everything is perfect. Argy and her husband greet and help me with the fastest response. The location is in a quiet residential area and still very close to the downtown. It's a very good option to stay at Rhodes town. Highly recommend!

  Loved that this property was short 15/20 minute walk from old town giving it a more local feel and many local shops in the area. The hosts were super friendly and always responded quickly to anything I asked, even kindly offering to post me a small item I left behind. I loved my balcony with water views.

  The location is excellent. I had a lovely view from my balcony. I could see the sea, the city and even the big ships in the port. Sunsets were beautiful. It was very clean and the manager is very helpful. You have everything you need in the rooms. It is about 15 minutes walk from Akandia Gate and 18 minutes walk from St John’s gate. There is a beautiful orthodox church of St Nicholas about 100 meters away from the house. So thank you, I felt really welcome there.
