First Impressions

How quiet it is here, even though you’re literally in the heart of the old town. It’s one of those places where you immediately feel like you’ve made a smart choice.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to explore Rhodes Town properly. You’re a two-minute walk from the Palace of the Grand Master, and the medieval streets just unfold around you in every direction. I mean, couples clearly get it — they’ve rated this spot 9.5 out of 10, and I can see why. The square itself has a couple of local cafes where you can grab coffee in the morning, and there’s this lovely taverna just around the corner that most tourists never find. Plus, you can walk to the harbor in about five minutes, which is handy when you want to catch those sunset views or hop on a boat to Symi.

The Suites

The suites themselves are spacious — and I don’t mean hotel-brochure spacious, I mean actually roomy enough to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Each one has a proper sitting area, which makes a real difference when you’re staying more than just a night or two. The kitchenette is well-equipped if you want to grab some local ingredients from the market and cook something simple. What I really liked was how they’ve managed to keep the character of the old building while making everything feel fresh and modern. The bathrooms are particularly well done — good water pressure, which you can’t always count on in historic buildings.

Breakfast & Amenities

Breakfast here is continental style with vegetarian options, and they actually do it well — fresh local ingredients, proper Greek yogurt with honey, and decent coffee. It’s served in a lovely little courtyard area that catches the morning light just right. The staff is genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions. They’ll give you proper recommendations for restaurants and help you figure out the best times to visit the major sites when they’re less crowded. There’s also a small terrace area where you can sit with a drink in the evening, though it’s more intimate than spectacular.

  Spacious apartment and hotel across the road had lovely facilities.
  – Easy desk check with accompanying tour of the room and facilities
  – Plenty of free parking in the area
  – Close to beach and an easy walk to Rhodes town and a comfortable walk to the old town
  – The breakfast was excellent and a clean chilled atmosphere
  – The hotel pool was idyllic, with comfy loungers and a perfect size pool to cool off
  – Staff friendly and cleaning staff even more, the 2 ladies that serviced the room each day was very nice
  – The apartment across the road from the hotel wasn't a problem and we had a balcony space to relax outdoors
  – Apartment was large with plenty of hanging and luggage space
  – Iron and full sized board was handy
  
  What could be improved: Only minor negatives
  – Facilities like the front loading washing machine was handy for beach towels etc however they didn't provide you with wet clothes hanging facilities like an airer so it was a problem to dry. I had to get creative. I did have to clean the washing machine before use as I found some grime and a bandaid/plaster, so bought cleaning product to use. Unlike other apartments it would have been nice to be provided with some laundry detergent
  – I did find lack of ventilation in the bathroom a problem, as the wooden doors aren't fit for purpose so when they got wet they would expand and stick to the floor. They are getting a little mouldy, wet rooms and wood doesn't really work. So some odour sometimes towards the end of the stay.
  – Finally lighting in the building. The corridor to the room only had one light switch at the front door (and it was a long corridor), so you have to keep your apartment door open to turn it on and run back to lock your door before leaving. This was the same as the hallyway to walk downstairs, at night you needed a torch.

  It was a really sweet, clean, beautiful small hotel with lovely poolside and very good breakfast. The people were really friendly and welcome was warm.

  Breakfast was lovely, there was a good selection, and the staff at breakfast were very nice especially the cook, she made us feel welcomed. The pool and the room were also great.
