Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about MV83? The name makes it sound like some tech startup, but honestly, this place gets Rhodes Town so right it’s almost unfair to other hotels. I stumbled across it on Michail Volonaki Street – and if you don’t know that little stretch, you’re missing out because it’s perfectly positioned between the buzz of the old town and the marina where locals actually hang out, not just the tourist boats.

The whole setup feels like someone actually thought about how people travel these days. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the medieval walls (take the path near the corner bakery that smells incredible at 7 AM), but you can also wander down to the marina and grab coffee where the yacht crews go. The building itself has this understated thing going on – not trying to scream “Greek island hotel” with blue and white everything, just clean lines and that relaxed confidence you find in places that don’t need to oversell themselves. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully modern, and the soundproofing actually works, which matters more than you’d think when you’re this close to town. Check-in was refreshingly normal – no weird upselling or twenty questions about restaurant reservations.

What really sold me was the staff’s local knowledge, and I don’t mean the scripted recommendations most places give you. These folks know which tavernas the locals slip off to on Sunday nights, where to find parking that won’t cost you a fortune (honestly, this is crucial in Rhodes Town), and they’ll tell you straight up when the old town gets too packed with cruise ship crowds. The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’re there a day or two – it’s not flashy enough for people seeking Instagram moments, but everything just works smoothly. The marina views from certain rooms are genuinely lovely, especially in the early evening when the light hits the water just right and you can watch the fishing boats heading out. Sure, it’s a 4-star place, so don’t expect over-the-top luxury, but the attention to detail feels more genuine than a lot of fancier spots I’ve stayed at. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the whole place has this relaxed energy that matches Rhodes perfectly – not sleepy, just confidently unhurried.

  Very comfortable and Vasilis was great. We had a large balcony with a view of the water. Old Town was a little over a kilometer on foot but flat all of the way. The hinges on the bathroom door could really use some oil. I would definitely recommend this property.

  The location was perfect for exploring Rhodes town.. The beach’s is also very close too
  The views of the sea and the marina are stunning..
  There are several restaurants walking distance, which are very good..
  supermarkets and bakeries are also close by.

  Fantastic penthouse apartment with private sun terrace as large as the apartment itself overlooking the New Marina. Well located away from the mad tourist rush yet only an easy 20 minute stroll from the Old Town. Several very nice restaurants, shops, bakery etc. close by and just 5 minutes walk to local beach which was not at all busy. Host Vasilis was outstandingly helpful in arranging taxis etc. and directing us to attractions, restaurants and so on – he could not have been more welcoming and kind.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to dislike if you want to be close to Rhodes Old Town but avoid the worst of tourist crowds.

  Location of the flat is great, as its not in city center with all the noise, but you could walk there in 20 min. 5 minutes to the nice beach and good restaurants around where locals go. Vasilis was very helpful and nice to us. He arrange taxi transfer from and to airport. We were traveling with small baby and our flight back was in the evening, so owner kindly let us stay longer on the last day, even those check out is till noon.
  
  What could be improved: we felt that air conditioner was not cooling flat to the degree we wanted, but it was still working and barrable to sleep.

  Everything! Vasilis was an amazing host and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay! The location is great, a 2 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute walk to the best bakery ever (Pane di Capo). The sea view was stunning and the aircon very effective! Next time we are in Rhodes, we will definitely be coming back to MV83!

  Great location, you can walk for 20 minutes to the old town or to grab a bus from the bus stop, which is around 7-8 minutes by walk. The apartment was clean, tidy, Vasilis and Mary were awesome. Next to the apartment there are great restaurants and the new marina is 2 minutes by walk.
  
  What could be improved: There was a very small problem with the shower – it was slightly broken, but it is not a problem to take a shower.
