So I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to More Meni City Beach Rhodes on Nikolaou Savva, I wasn’t expecting much from the street view. I mean, you’re right in the thick of Rhodes Town, and sometimes these city hotels can feel a bit cramped, you know? But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how travelers want to feel when they arrive. The lobby has this modern Greek vibe – not the touristy taverna stuff, but something more sophisticated. What really got me though was realizing how close you actually are to everything that matters. You can literally walk to the medieval Old Town in about eight minutes (I timed it), and the beach – well, that’s practically at your doorstep.

Here’s what I didn’t expect: the rooms are genuinely spacious, which is sort of rare for a city location like this. The balconies actually give you decent views too, and if you’re lucky enough to snag one facing the water, you’ll get these incredible sunset moments that honestly make the whole trip worth it. The staff really knows their stuff about Rhodes – not just the obvious tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this little coffee place on Sokratous Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be a bit tricky around here (it’s the old town area, so streets are narrow), but they’ve got valet service that takes care of it. The pool area is where this place really shines though – it’s this rooftop situation that feels like your own private escape from all the hustle below. You can hear the sounds of the town, but in a good way, like you’re part of something rather than stuck in some isolated resort bubble.

What really sealed it for me was the breakfast situation – and look, I’m usually the person who grabs coffee and runs. But they do this spread with local ingredients, proper Greek yogurt (not the hotel buffet stuff), and honey that actually tastes like it came from somewhere nearby. The location means you’re walking distance from Mandraki Harbor, where all the boats leave for day trips to Lindos or Symi, and you’re close enough to the nightlife on Bar Street without being kept awake by it. I stayed here in late September, which turned out to be perfect timing – still warm enough for the beach and pool, but without the crazy summer crowds. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but everything they do, they do really well. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Rhodes rather than just hide in a resort, this is your spot.

  Our stay at More Meni was great. The staff, particularly Clement, Spiro and Elena were wonderful – so friendly and helpful and definitely made our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the chef's different specials each morning were a nice addition. Our room was really spacious, the balcony was lovely and the bed was SO comfortable. I've seen other reviews about the noise from nearby bars but this didn't affect us at all, with windows closed it was fairly faint and not a problem.
  The pool and bar area were fabulous. The reception staff were really helpful in arranging a hire car for us for 2 days, and also arranging a taxi to take us to the airport.
  The hotel is in a great location – a 1 min walk to the beach, 5 minutes walk from the main harbour, and 15 minutes walk to the Old Town.
  
  What could be improved: The wifi signal wasn't particularly strong in our room and connection kept dropping off (room 24). The air conditioning only went down to 22 degrees which, as a very warm person, wasn't quite cool enough for me – but that's personal preference.
