Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along the Rhodes coastline, but Mitsis Selection Alila actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The thing is, most hotels in Faliraki are either party central or trying way too hard to be sophisticated, but this place found some kind of sweet spot between the two.

First thing you notice when you pull up is how they’ve positioned themselves right between Faliraki and Kallithea beach. I mean, you’re close enough to walk into Faliraki town when you want that buzzy taverna scene (about 10 minutes if you take the coastal path), but you’re not dealing with the noise from Anthony Quinn Bay day-trippers or the late-night crowd stumbling back from the strip. The beach situation here is actually pretty ideal – it’s this quieter stretch where locals from Rhodes town come on weekends, which tells you something. There’s this little beach bar that does proper Greek coffee in the mornings, not just the tourist stuff, and the water’s that incredible turquoise you see in photos but think can’t be real.

What really got me about this place was the attention to details that actually matter. Like, the shower pressure is fantastic (you’d be amazed how many five-star places mess this up), and they’ve got these little touches – fresh herbs growing on terraces, staff who remember your name after day two, pools that aren’t freezing cold even in shoulder season. The breakfast spread is extensive without being overwhelming, and they actually have local honey from somewhere up in the mountains. You know what else? The air conditioning works properly, which sounds basic but trust me, in August heat, it’s everything. I stayed in one of their sea-view rooms and could hear the waves at night with the balcony door cracked open – none of that highway noise you get at some places along this coast.

The whole vibe skews more toward couples and people who want to actually relax, rather than families with screaming kids or groups looking to party until dawn. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not stuffy or quiet – there’s live music some evenings and the pool area has energy – but it feels more… refined, I guess? Like people come here because they want to be here, not because it was the cheapest option on Booking.com. Staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, which you can tell in small ways – they’ll give you actual recommendations for dinner spots in nearby villages, not just push the hotel restaurant. Speaking of which, their restaurant is solid but honestly, with all the incredible tavernas within walking distance, I’d only eat there maybe every other night. The whole area comes alive after sunset with these family-run places that have been serving the same recipes for decades.

  The perfect hotel
  This all inclusive hotel was like a dream. The service was fantastic by the staff. The room was great. Food was excellent, many options and a lot of special restauarants. Although it was full with people because of the many options there werent any lines or pressure, just enter and get served immediately.
  The pools were very nice, the kids loved them and the beach was stunning. There were always free beds waiting for us neer the pools / at the beach so no need to wake up early to catch a bed.

  Awesome food, all included (even the drinks!) and huge verity. Great clean rooms, high quality entertainment and amenities

  What could be improved: Staff very curtious, quality and quantity of food is unlimited and out of this world. Never done such holidays ever before. Have to come here every year.Drinks, we're also unlimited, you can't believe, until you stay. I don't have enough words, to justify the ,luxury and food ,we enjoyed. Completely unreal.
