Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Mitsis Rodos Maris in Kiotari – you know how these big resort complexes can be, all flash and no substance. But this place actually surprised me. The location is pretty smart, tucked away in the quieter southern part of Rhodes where you’re not fighting crowds for beach space like you would in Faliraki or Rhodes Town. Kiotari Beach stretches out right in front of the hotel, and I mean right there – no weird 10-minute walk through sketchy alleys that some places try to pass off as “beachfront.”

The hotel itself has that solid, established feel of a place that’s been around long enough to figure out what works. Check-in was refreshingly smooth (no standing around for 20 minutes while they hunt for your reservation), and the lobby has this airy, marble-heavy Greek island vibe without being too over-the-top touristy. What I really appreciated was how they’ve spread everything out – the pools, restaurants, even the rooms are arranged so you’re not constantly bumping into other guests. The main pool area gets busy around mid-morning when families claim their spots, but there’s actually a quieter adult section that most people seem to miss. The rooms are genuinely spacious too, not those cramped boxes where you’re playing Tetris with your luggage.

Here’s what really sets this place apart though – the staff actually seems to know the area. When I asked about getting to Lindos (which is maybe 15 minutes up the coast), the front desk guy gave me specific timing advice about beating the tour bus crowds and mentioned this little taverna in the old town that wasn’t in any guidebook I’d seen. The hotel’s restaurant situation is solid – nothing revolutionary, but the breakfast spread is extensive and they do this Greek night thing that’s way less cheesy than it sounds. You’re also close enough to Kiotari village to wander down for dinner if you want something more local, which I’d definitely recommend at least once. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebbles, pretty typical for this part of Rhodes, and the water stays shallow for quite a while out – perfect if you’re traveling with kids. Only real downside I noticed was that the wifi can get spotty in some of the rooms facing the sea, and the evening entertainment is pretty standard resort fare. But honestly, with Lindos so close and the whole southern coast to explore, you probably won’t be hanging around the hotel much anyway. It’s the kind of place that works as a comfortable base rather than trying to be your entire vacation.

  I really liked the hotel. Wonderful beach, clean rooms and very friendly hotel staff. Especially the waiters in the restaurant. I will definitely come again.

  Nice 5 star all inclusive, we arrived on the first day of the season. So all the restaurants were closed (opened on the next day).
  Bar stuff were very plesent and friendly!

  I liked the food, the pool area, the fact the beach is not far. Staff in the main restaurant were superb very friendly and helpful.
  I like that you can go to another partner hotel to have lunch dinner and stay for the day
  
  What could be improved: I did not like that you don't have enough irons and ironing boards, most days I have to travel around with clothes that were not ironed.
  We didn't like that one of the staff lied about availability to go to the children's pool at the other hotel (mitsis rodos village) we are there to enjoy ourselves. We went anyway and it was virtually empty so I don't know what she gained by lying to my family

  I like modern, luxury main building, five la a carte restaurants, everyday dinner with a theme. I like hotel beach. We love the food, drinks. Everything was so clean!
  
  What could be improved: I didnt like that we came and try to book la a carte restaurant, but it was fully booked. There was two childs pool… but they were very small. But little bit deep for 100cm child. And not so much activities for kids. My child 3 and half. And i cannot leave it for a little while. Babysitting price for 35euros and just from 4 years old.

  It is very spacious, there are several pools and the beach nearby is fantastic. My room was clean and big with a nice balcony. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The mini fridge was packed with drink options (water, soda, beer, wine).There were many food options at the buffet and the restaurants were so good! I liked the cats roaming around. The staff was very friendly, a special shout out to Dorjan the server!
  
  What could be improved: The resort is far from the airport so it takes awhile to get there by bus. Nearby there is not much but staying on the resort was fine with me. Some beach bar staff could have provided better service.

  The hotel is excellent. The bungalows were pleasant, with frequent cleaning, towel, linen changes, and regular restocking of the fridge. The food was superb, even compared to all-inclusive resorts in Turkey. The staff was excellent, and there were entertaining programs. I enjoyed everything about this hotel.
  
  What could be improved: Some ants crawled into the room through holes in the door frame. Some mosquitoes slightly disrupted evening gatherings by the table with beer, admiring the sunset near the bungalow. It would be nice to hang something on the back doors leading to the garden to prevent flies and mosquitoes from entering the bungalow.
