Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about Maria Studios and Apartments? It’s one of those places where you can actually hear the waves from your balcony – and I mean properly hear them, not just catch the occasional whoosh when the wind’s blowing right. The whole place sits pretty much right on Haraki Bay, which honestly feels like discovering a little secret since most people rushing around Rhodes never make it to this corner of the island.

The studios themselves are way more spacious than you’d expect – I mean, we’re talking proper kitchenettes where you can actually cook something more ambitious than instant noodles, plus these lovely stone accents that feel authentically Greek without being touristy about it. Maria (yes, there’s an actual Maria) clearly knows what travelers need because there’s decent Wi-Fi throughout, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and – this is key – the balconies are big enough for two people to sit comfortably with their morning coffee. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in typical tourist accommodation.

What really makes this spot special though is Haraki itself. It’s this tiny fishing village that hasn’t been completely overrun yet, tucked between these dramatic cliffs with the ruins of Feraklos Castle looming above – you can actually walk up there in about twenty minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a scramble. The village has maybe three tavernas, and they’re all the kind of places where the owner’s grandmother is still making the dolmades. There’s a small pebble beach right in front of the studios where locals actually swim (always a good sign), and if you want sand, Tsambika Beach is just a short drive south. The whole area stays pretty quiet even in peak summer – I think because it takes some effort to get here, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it worth it. Plus, you’re still only about 30 minutes from Rhodes Town when you want to dive into the medieval city or catch a flight, but far enough away that you won’t hear the cruise ship crowds.

  I appreciated the kindness of the owners. Always ready to fulfill your requests if possible. The room is perfect for one person . A well-stocked kitchenette is part of it. The sea is … under the house. They are regularly cleaned with great care.The bathroom is small but functional .
  You come stocked with soap and shampoo. There is also a small balcony for hanging wet clothes with a small table. You can see the sea and have a nice beer or glass of wine. Charaki is a resort not to be missed. On the Lindos side a pebble beach several kilometers long. Practically under the house a supermarket run by Mrs. Maria.It was a nice relaxing week . I have no complaints to make.

  The owners of the property were very helpful and the standard of cleanliness was exceptional. My room was comfortable and there was a lovely view from my balcony. I will be returning next year.

  Everything went well. The accommodation is literally 10 metres away from the beach. Very clean, every 3 days there is cleaning and change of sheets. The owner was very friendly.
