You know those places where you immediately feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special? That’s exactly what happened when I first pulled up to Manolis and Anna’s House in Malona Village. I mean, the name alone tells you everything – this isn’t some corporate chain where you’re just another room number. It’s literally named after the people who run it, and honestly, that personal touch carries through every single detail of your stay.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right on Επαρχιακή Οδός Μαλώνας (the main road through Malona), which sounds busier than it is – this isn’t exactly Athens traffic we’re talking about. What’s great is you get that authentic village vibe without being so far out that you need a GPS and a prayer to find a decent taverna. The morning sounds are perfect too – a mix of roosters doing their thing and the gentle hum of village life starting up, no honking horns or construction noise. Parking was never an issue, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands will appreciate.

What really sets this place apart is how Manolis and Anna (assuming they’re still the ones running things) have managed to hit that sweet spot between genuine hospitality and giving you space to just be. The check-in felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than a hotel transaction – lots of local recommendations, hand-drawn maps to the best swimming spots, that sort of thing. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake with expensive furniture and fancy linens. Everything’s clean and well-maintained (this is a solid 4-star place, after all), but there’s character in the details – maybe it’s the way the morning light hits the windows, or how the stone walls keep things naturally cool even when it’s blazing outside.

The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the island, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The WiFi works when you need it, the shower pressure is decent, and there’s always someone around who can help without making you feel like you’re bothering them. I particularly loved how quiet it gets in the evenings – perfect for sitting outside with a glass of wine and actually hearing yourself think. The village itself is small enough that you’ll recognize faces after a couple of days, but not so tiny that you feel like you’re intruding on people’s daily lives. If you’re the type who wants to experience Greek island life without the cruise ship crowds or the party scene, this is your spot. Just don’t expect a pool bar or room service – but honestly, you won’t miss it.

  Прекрасное расположение в тихой деревушке….в 15- 20 минутах езды до прекрасных пляжей Родоса.
  Интересный дизайн квартиры.Два кондиционера создавали постоянный ,круглосуточный комфорт!) Бесплатная парковка рядом с домом.Есть всё необходимое для приготовления еды.
  Хозяева – великолепные люди , которые готовы прийти на помощь в любую минуту. Бутылка вина и фрукты как презент – при встрече очень порадовали!)Чистое белье, полотенце. Средства для стирки и личной гигиены. Спасибо за прекрасные эмоции.Рекомендуем!!)

  Le calme ! et la climatisation très efficace ! Notre hôtesse était charmante, pleine de petits soins. Une grande coupe de fruits nous attendait. Nous étions les premiers à occuper le logement et elle manquait d'habitude avec les hôtes. Pour arriver à la maison, il faut demander à un des deux cafés à l'entrée du village, et il y aura toujours quelqu'un pour vous accompagner jusqu'à la maison. Comme nous étions les premiers occupants, ils (les consommateurs des cafés) ne savaient pas de quelle maison il s'agissait mais ils ont vite trouvé.
  
  What could be improved: Une voiture est indispensable. Loueur le moins cher : Rhodos. Voiture impeccable.

  Excellent accueil des hôtes qui n ont pas hésité à nous attendre jusque 22h30 le jour de notre arrivee (viennoiseries et fruits déposés)
  Chambre très spacieuse avec beaucoup de cachet
