Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Rhodes Old Town, but Mandraki City Center Apartments on Karpáthou Street actually surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. You know that sweet spot between the medieval walls and the modern harbor area? That’s exactly where you’ll find yourself here, close enough to hear the gentle clank of yacht masts from Mandraki Harbor when the evening breeze picks up, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight.

The thing about this place is it gets the details right in ways that matter. I mean, sure, it’s got that crisp, modern apartment feel you’d expect from a 4-star spot, but what really sold me was walking in after a long day exploring the Palace of the Grand Masters and actually having space to spread out – real kitchen counter space, a living area where you can collapse with a freddo cappuccino, decent water pressure in the shower (trust me on this one, half the places in the old quarter still run on Ottoman-era plumbing). The air conditioning works like it should, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting between June and September when Rhodes turns into a beautiful furnace. What’s funny is how quiet it gets here at night – Karpáthou Street isn’t one of those main drags where delivery trucks rumble past at 6 AM, so you can actually sleep in if you want to recover from too much ouzo the night before.

You’re basically a five-minute stroll from Symi Square where the locals grab their morning coffee, and maybe ten minutes from the entrance to the Old Town if you want to get lost in those incredible medieval streets again. But here’s what I really loved – you can walk down to the harbor and catch the boat to Symi or Halki without dealing with taxi drivers or trying to figure out the bus system. The whole area comes alive around sunset when people start their evening volta (that’s the traditional Greek evening stroll, by the way), and you’re right in the middle of it all. Honestly, with a 9.7 rating, I was expecting maybe some inflated expectations, but this place delivers on the promise. It’s one of those rare finds where you feel like you’re living in Rhodes rather than just passing through as another tourist.

  Location was great in Rhodes new town area and a short walk to old town, the port and the beach. The hosts were lovely and welcomed us very nicely with a gift. Enough space for our family of four to relax.
  
  What could be improved: Having only one key was a bit tricky for us so next time I would specifically request 2 keys if you have family members coming and going at different times. The master bed could do with a more comfortable mattress too.

  First and foremost, the owner of the apartment, Maria, is amazing, nice, always has a smile on her face. She kindly explained to us what we needed to know about the amazing island of Rhodes. The apartment is amazing, exactly what a family needs. Perfect location, close to everything, no need for a car.

  1. The location is very strategic and very convenient. Walkable to all the attractions nearby. Many restaurants, supermarkets, shopping streets just right downstairs.
  2. The unit is very spacious with everything you may need. Provided great amenities such as clothes hangers and detergent.
  3. Large space in both rooms with comfortable living hall etc. My baby feel comfortable and likes the apartment too.
  
  What could be improved: 1. No lift even though it's at the 2nd floor but if have many luggages, it's hard to carry up and down.
  2. Shower door is not able to close properly and there is no ventilation. The humidity after showering is causing the toilet floor to be wet.
  3. Slightly noisy at night as there are restaurants and bars downstairs but it's still fine if doors are close.

  An absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean apartment in the city center. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, and the historic center and the sea are just a few steps away. The nights were quiet and we slept very well. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

  Maria was a great host we really enjoyed our stay here, apartment is centrally located and close to everything. Could walk to old town rhodes, beach, bus stops and all the amazing restaurants. Had a great view of the beach and windmills would stay here again.

  The apartment was gorgeous, we stayed at the second floor and it was great, a big spacious apartment with everything you need inside and a cute terrace with an amazing view to the sea. The location was amazing, close to everything, the old and the new city and also to some beautiful beaches and beach bars. The main bus station is also next to the apartment along with some very good restaurants. The owner of the apartment Maria is the sweetest and kindest, she made sure we feel comfortable and was loving and caring to us throughout the whole vacation

  Appartement très bien situé proche de tout.
  Très grand et bien équipé. Il y a même des moustiquaires donc on peut laisser les fenêtres ouvertes sans moustiques qui entrent à l’intérieur.
  Maria est une hôte exceptionnelle, dévouée et aimable.
