Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Malibu Boutique Studios & Bungalows? It’s actually tucked away on Main Street in a way that feels intentional – like someone really thought about where to put it. I mean, you’re right in Faliraki but somehow removed from the chaos that can take over the main strip during peak season. When I first walked up, honestly, the whole setup reminded me more of a friend’s well-designed compound than your typical Greek hotel.

The studios and bungalows thing isn’t just marketing speak here – they’ve actually got different vibes depending on what you book. The bungalows feel properly secluded (I stayed in one that faced away from the street, which was clutch since Faliraki can get… enthusiastic at night), while the studios are more integrated into the main building. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep that boutique feel without being precious about it. The common areas have this relaxed energy where you’ll find yourself chatting with other guests without it feeling forced, and the staff – well, they actually seem to know the area beyond just pointing you toward Anthony Quinn Bay. Speaking of which, one of them told me about this little taverna maybe ten minutes walk inland that doesn’t show up on any tourist maps but does incredible lamb kleftiko.

The 8.1 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that gets the fundamentals really right without trying to be something it’s not. The WiFi actually works (tested it on video calls), there’s proper hot water pressure, and – this might sound small but it matters – they’ve got decent lighting for getting ready, not those dim bulbs that make you look like a ghost in the mirror. The location works whether you’re here for the beach scene or using Faliraki as a base to explore Rhodes. You can walk to the main beach easily, but you’re also positioned well for day trips to Lindos or even Rhodes Town if you rent a car. Parking’s straightforward too, which isn’t always a given in Greek coastal towns. I’d probably stay here again, honestly – it hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real place without sacrificing comfort.

  Breakfast is amazing
  Staff are really helpful and friendly
  it's in a perfect location. 5 min walk from bars, shops, restaurants, beach, but still really quiet position as it is set back from the main road.
  
  What could be improved: Water pressure in the shower and sink is very poor and one night there was no hot water.

  Beautiful place and nice location near the center of Faliraki but relaxed and quiet.Clean also. Good parking.

  Decent hotel, room cleaned daily, staff were OK. Short walk to centre/beach, but far enough from the noise.
  
  What could be improved: Deluxe rooms were disappointing, they really didn't seem big nor have anything special, and were overpriced in my opinion. Breakfast selection was poor, especially towards the end of the breakfast session when items were not always refilled.

  Great location, 5 minute walk from the strip. Staff were very accommodating. Facilities were very clean and well kept. The hotel was very pretty.
  
  What could be improved: Slightly small shower, which didn’t have a proper cover, so the bathroom would flood, however my boyfriend is 6ft 3.

  We were able to book a car hire which got dropped to our hotel and tickets to Symi. Staff spoke good English. Good breakfast. Great location just 5-10 mins walk to the shops and 10-15 min walk to the beach.
  
  What could be improved: Staff were sometimes rude in the way that they spoke but most of the time nice.
  Rooms could be cleaner especially the bathroom. Rooms weren’t cleaned at all during our 6 night stay.
