Honestly, when I first walked up to Maison Du Jardin on Palma Magiorka street, I wasn’t expecting much – you know how apartment rentals can be hit or miss. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked into this quiet residential area of Rhodes Town, which means you’re close enough to walk to the medieval Old Town (maybe 10 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the little shops), but far enough away that you won’t hear the late-night revelry from the tourist bars.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without doing gymnastics around the bed. But honestly, the real star here is that private jacuzzi on the outdoor terrace. I spent way too many evenings out there with a glass of local wine, watching the sun set over the rooftops. The neighbors are pretty respectful about noise, which I appreciated since some of these older buildings can be echo chambers. One thing worth noting – the hot water pressure is fantastic, which isn’t always a given in Greek accommodations, and the air conditioning actually works well enough that you’ll sleep comfortably even in July.

What I really loved about staying here was how it felt like I was living in Rhodes rather than just visiting. There’s a little bakery about two streets over where the owner, Dimitris, makes these incredible cheese pies every morning around 8 AM – the smell will wake you up if you leave your windows open. The location puts you within walking distance of Mandraki Harbor, where you can catch boats to Symi or just watch the fishing boats come in with their daily catch. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street itself (it’s narrow and fills up quickly), but there’s a public lot about three blocks away that’s pretty reasonable. The whole setup just works – you’ve got the space to spread out, that amazing jacuzzi for unwinding after long days exploring, and you’re positioned perfectly to experience both the historic charm of the Old Town and the more authentic residential vibe of modern Rhodes. Plus, the hosts are genuinely helpful without being intrusive, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to settle into a place for more than just a night or two.

  The apartment is in a new building. Everything was new, clean and we had everything we needed. The apartment has a big terrace and Jacuzzi. The beds are large and comfortable, also the pillows. Special thanks for Irene, for helping us with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

  Es war hervorragend, die Unterkunft sieht in echt noch besser aus als auf den Fotos. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

  Eine Wohnung mit allem drum und dran.
  Komplett Verdunklung in den Schlafzimmern. Klimaanlage top.
  Am Stadtrand gelegen. Mit guter Anbindung Richtung Faliraki oder auch zur Altstadt, eigenes Auto vorausgesetzt. Einmal Putzen die Woche mit Wäschewechsel. Die Vermieterin spricht alles vorher ab, ist immer schnell erreichbar und gibt gute Tipps.

  Difficile trovare qualcosa che non piaccia. Un appartamento nuovo e comodo per chi viaggia in quattro. Gentilissima la signora Irene.
  
  What could be improved: La struttura è nuova, quindi mi sento di dare solo qualche consiglio, più che indicare qualcosa che non sia piaciuto (perché davvero è piaciuto tutto!). Aggiungerei un bicchiere in bagno e un doppia presa in camera da letto per evitare di staccare le lampade se si vuole caricare il telefono.

  Ολοκαίνουργιο διαμέρισμα σε μια ήσυχη περιοχή της πόλης της Ρόδου. Υπάρχει πάρκιγκ μπροστά στο διαμέρισμα, χωρίς χρέωση. Το WI-FI είναι ικανοποιητικό σε όλους τους χώρους του σπιτιού. Τα στρώματα των κρεβατιών είναι ανατομικά. Υπάρχει κλιματισμός σε όλα τα δωμάτια. Οι δύο τουαλέτες – μπάνια εξυπηρετούν άνετα τις ανάγκες μιας οικογένειας. Η κυρία – Ειρήνη, εξαιρετική παρουσία, λύνει πρόθυμα και άμεσα ό,τι προκύψει κατά τη διάρκεια της διαμονής.

  la pulizia, gli elettrodomestici: non solo lavatrice e frigoifero, ma anche la lavapiatti! L'accoglienza dei proprietari che hanno offerto vino, birra, cioccolate….
