Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Lindos Tholos Villa? It’s not just another white-washed place perched on a hillside – though honestly, the setting is pretty incredible. I mean, when you’re staying in Lindos, you’re basically living inside a postcard, but this villa actually delivers on what all those Instagram photos promise.
The thing about Lindos is that it gets absolutely packed during the day when the cruise ships dump hundreds of tourists into those narrow cobblestone streets. But here’s what’s brilliant about Tholos Villa – by evening, when the day-trippers have all shuffled back to their buses, you’re left with this almost magical quiet. You can actually hear the waves from the bay below, and the scent of jasmine sort of drifts up from the village. The villa sits just far enough from the main tourist chaos that you won’t be kept awake by late-night revelers stumbling down from the acropolis, but you’re still close enough to walk to everything that matters. And I do mean walk – forget about driving in old Lindos, those streets were designed for donkeys, not rental cars.
What really sold me on this place was the attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms have proper blackout capabilities (trust me, Greek summer sun starts early), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. Small things, but honestly, these are the details that make or break a trip. The hosts clearly understand that people come to Lindos to experience something special, not just to check it off a list. They’ll tell you the best time to climb up to the acropolis – hint: not at noon in July – and which tavernas the locals actually eat at versus the tourist traps with the aggressive waiters on the main square.
The villa itself has this lovely traditional architecture that feels authentic without being stuffy or museum-like. You get those thick stone walls that keep things cool, and the terraces… well, let’s just say you’ll understand why people have been choosing this exact spot to build homes for literally thousands of years. On clear mornings, you can see all the way to the Turkish coast, and the sunsets over St. Paul’s Bay are the kind that make you stop mid-conversation and just stare.
I’ll be honest – Lindos isn’t cheap, and neither is this place, but the 9.7 rating isn’t some marketing fluff. It’s what happens when someone really cares about creating an experience rather than just filling rooms. You’re not going to find a pool complex or a kids’ club here, but if you want to feel like you’ve discovered something special in one of Greece’s most photogenic villages, this is exactly the kind of place that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

Amazing central location. Lovely private courtyard.
What could be improved: Nothing – all was greatMark from United Kingdom – 15 October 2024 (10/10)
Perfect spot! Quiet but centre of Lindos with a beautiful courtyard to sit out and chill!
What could be improved: The only drawback is the bathroom being downstairs, but it’s not a major problemJasmin from Germany – 27 September 2024 (10/10)
Everything. There wasn't a single thing that we didn't like. From the time of booking to the time of leaving, everything was perfect. Eleni is an amazing host!!! We were absolutely stunned by the beautiful location of the Villa. I would love to fly her over to my house and have her redecorate my home. I already asked to rebook, but unfortunately, it is already booked for next year!
What could be improved: Nothing!! This is a 10 plus star 🌟 location!Деница from Bulgaria – 7 September 2024 (10/10)
It was amazing, everything was perfect.

Property was beautiful exactly like the pictures . Very central to everything. Eleni meets you to show you around and the introductory pack of fruit water and snacks is brilliant. A lovely touch . They are only a phone call away if you need to ask any questions .

I stayed here with two friends, all 21 yrs old. It was a beautiful apartment, a great location for the price. In close proximity to many restaurants, bars and two beaches, the closest of which was about 3mins away and far exceeds the best expectations for the main beach. Our host was friendly and very helpful as she gave some good recommendations for places to eat when requested. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and the bathroom downstairs was great. All in all this property and our host exceeded all our expectations, I cannot recommend the place enough.
What could be improved: If I had one complaint it would be that the only bin is downstairs in the kitchen, but this had very little impact on our stay.Tracey from United Kingdom – 10 June 2024 (9/10)
I have stayed there last year. The location is perfect for the village, and yet still really quiet. Everywhere clean and fresh. You get a welcome pack on arrival with water bread cheese beer etc!
What could be improved: Ideally I wish it had an upstairs toilet, as it is on two floors and the bedrooms are upstairs, but that's the only thing I can think of.Kilian from United Kingdom – 21 September 2023 (10/10)
Everything
What could be improved: Lounge is very small, but we wouldn’t want to be inside anyway as the courtyard was better than appeared in the listing.Stanislav from Moldova – 10 September 2023 (10/10)
Our stay was a memorable and unique experience. It allowed us to live like the locals, surrounded by the beauty and history of this village. It offered us an authentic taste of Greek life that left a lasting impression.
You're just a short walk from the Lindos and St. Paul beaches and the Acropolis.
What truly made this stay extraordinary was the owner's remarkable hospitality, which exceeded all expectations.
From the very beginning, Eleni's warmth and eagerness to ensure a pleasant stay were palpable. She assisted with an earlier check-in and a later check-out. She met us with some groceries like fruits, bread, eggs, yogurt, ham, water, and beer. When we were leaving Eleni brought some local sweets for my children. She recommended us some really good restaurants for dinner and cafes for breakfast.
The villa had everything we needed and was impeccably clean.
If you're looking for a cozy place in the heart of the charming Lindos, this villa is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!Sarah from United Kingdom – 25 July 2023 (10/10)
From the moment Eleni met us to take us to the Villa, we were blown away by how wonderful our host was, but also the amazing accommodation we had managed to book. The location is excellent, being very close to the main shopping district, with an excellent choice of restaurants and the Acropolis (if you wish to climb that during your stay) being able to be accessed around the corner from the villa. The walk to Lindos Beach is roughly 10-15mins through town and down to the beach. St Paul's Beach is much closer, but down a set of steep hills and is not very family friendly.
The accommodation itself has a neat and tidy bathroom, kitchen and washing machine, with air-conditioning in the bedrooms and main living area. The villa has a lovely courtyard to enjoy the weather in the evenings.
When we arrived the fridge was stocked with fresh groceries (milk, bottled water, beer, wine, eggs, and fresh bread) and the accommodation had an excellent supply of tea, coffee, sugar and cooking ingredients for use during our stay. There is a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, sandwich press and electric oven for cooking.
Eleni and her family were on hand to answer any questions and also booked us a return taxi to Rhodes so we didn't have to worry about it. The villa was cleaned part way during our stay and everything was of a high standard. We'd love to go back again!
