Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to the Lindos Shore Junior Suite – I mean, you’ve seen one Greek island hotel, you’ve sort of seen them all, right? Wrong. This place actually surprised me, and I’m pretty picky about where I stay.

The thing about Lindos is that most visitors just do the day trip thing – they climb up to the acropolis, take their Instagram shots, and bounce back to Rhodes town. But staying right here means you get the village after the tour buses leave, which is when it actually becomes magical. The junior suite sits perfectly positioned where you can walk down those narrow cobblestone paths (careful with wheeled luggage, by the way) and suddenly you’re at that gorgeous bay everyone raves about. What I loved is that you’re close enough to hear the gentle lapping of waves at night, but far enough up that you don’t get the noise from the tavernas that stay open late – trust me, that matters when you’re trying to sleep.

The suite itself feels authentically Greek without being cheesy about it. You know what I mean – no fake columns or overdone blue and white everywhere. The space is generous for a junior suite, and honestly, the view from the terrace made me understand why people write poetry about the Aegean. I’d sit out there in the morning with coffee (there’s a proper espresso machine, not one of those pod things) and watch the fishing boats head out while the light hit the white houses just right. The air conditioning actually works well, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t just dribble – small things, but they matter when it’s 35 degrees outside. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be spotty during peak hours, but honestly, isn’t that kind of the point of being in a place like this? I found myself checking my phone way less and actually reading the books I’d brought along. If you’re planning to visit, try to come in late spring or early fall – you’ll get that perfect weather without fighting crowds for every photo, and the locals have more time to chat and share recommendations for beaches that aren’t in the guidebooks.

  Filippos was so helpful. A taxi was organised to be waiting for us at the airport. We drove straight to Lindos where we were met, had our bags carried to the suite and were handed the keys. Couldn’t have been easier.
  
  A fridge full of snacks and drinks waited for us in the super clean, tidy and peaceful room. The views from the roof terrace were incredible, and the location of the suite was perfect. Less than 10 minutes walk to the beach, and only a few minutes from so many bars and restaurants.

  This is a gorgeous property , great location and beautifully furnished with everything that you need. Spotlessly clean (the lady that comes daily to clean is great) lovely Clarins toiletries and comfortable Cocomat bed and sheets.
  Filipos is a fantastic host, meeting us to help with luggage, providing a great welcome pack but more than anything him and his lovely family offered wonderful hospitality and made us feel so welcome.
  We visited during Greek Easter which is an amazing time to be in Lindos. Fillipos and his family gave us Easter gifts (home made cookies and eggs) and even invited us to share their Easter Sunday celebrations and food – how very generous and kind!!
  We previously stayed in the Summer House as a group and that was also gorgeous but this trip was as a couple so the suite was perfect.

  The accommodation was beautiful and in a perfect location. It was any easy walk to the town and short walk downhill to lovely sandy beaches. A large roof terrace with all day sun, a surprise welcome food pack and Clarins toiletries added to the stay.
  Filippe arranged our taxi to and from the airport and we were met personally for hand over of keys. All communication was answered immediately.
  The daily maid service was excellent too and a later check out was not a problem either for our late flight home.
