Hotel Description

You know what? I’ve been to a lot of places along the Rhodes coastline, but Lindos Mare just hits different. It’s perched right on Vlycha beach – and I mean literally right there, not one of those “beachfront” places where you still need to hike down a cliff path with all your gear. The moment you walk into the lobby, you get this immediate sense that someone actually thought about what travelers want, rather than just checking boxes for a five-star rating.

The thing about this stretch of coast is that it’s far enough from the main Lindos village to escape the cruise ship crowds (honestly, July and August can be brutal up there), but close enough that you can still walk to the Acropolis if you’re feeling ambitious – though I’d recommend the early morning or late afternoon for that trek. What I really love about Vlycha beach itself is how it stays relatively calm even when the northern beaches get choppy. The hotel’s positioning means you’re getting those gorgeous sunrise views over the Aegean, and the staff actually knows the local wind patterns, so they’ll give you a heads up if it’s going to be one of those days where the beach umbrellas need extra anchoring.

The rooms – well, they’ve clearly been designed by someone who’s actually stayed in hotels before. Little things like enough plugs near the bed, blackout curtains that actually block light, and bathroom lighting that doesn’t make you look like you’re recovering from something serious. The balconies face the water, obviously, but what surprised me was how well they’ve managed the sound. You get the gentle wave noise without the jarring sounds of beach volleyball games or kids shrieking in pools at 7 AM. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hovering while they try to upsell you on room upgrades or restaurant packages. The parking situation is actually decent, which anyone who’s driven around Rhodes in summer will appreciate, though I’d still recommend getting there before the afternoon heat makes unpacking luggage feel like an endurance test. I mean, the 9.5 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place genuinely gets the details right in ways that make you want to extend your stay rather than just tolerate it until checkout.

  The hotel was amazing, from start to finish every member of staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms were great, nothing exceptional but perfectly clean and equipped. The pool area was the highlight of the hotel for me, the beds are incredible, easy to get drinks, and quiet enough to relax without being too quiet to talk. We didn’t have an evening meal however we had breakfast everyday and this was a joy every day. The food selection was great and always something new to try. The hotel is 3 minute drive to Lindos old town, which is a beautiful town, full of great restaurants and bars. Overall I can’t recommend Lindos Mare enough, if you’re considered visiting the area, this is the hotel to stay at!!

  We loved the view from our room (614) It was spacious and light with a huge, comfortable bed and sofa. There is a wide selection of food at the breakfast and dinner buffets. We enjoyed eating in the al a carte restaurants where the food is cooked to order and it wasn't that much more expensive. The views from the hotel are fabulous. To avoid waiting for an outside table at breakfast we went after 9.30am. The bar upstairs is great and Sarah and Johanna give the best service. Try the Greek Old fashioned! The service in all areas of the hotel is excellent. Everywhere is maintained to the highest standards The staff work really hard to make sure guests are well looked after and do so with a smile. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and it takes no more than 10 minutes to reach Lindos. On the the way back make sure you press the Stop button when the next stop Lindos Blue and Mare is announced otherwise it will go straight passed!! A taxi back cost 10 Euros for 2.

  EVERYTHING! Such a lovely hotel, but the staff completely make it. So kind and friendly. Facilities are great, lovely beach but the pool was our favourite. Rooms were spotless and fresh towels and bedding everyday! Thank you so much for the best holiday! We will back!
  
  What could be improved: We loved everything, however we were slightly disappointed with the road works outside our room which did unfortunately wake us up most mornings! Couldn't be helped by the hotel of course

  outstanding service of all the staff, exceptionally clean, very high standards of food in breakfast and dinner and perfect location : the best characteristic of the sea I can ever imagine in my life. The real plus: the employees work with a smile and excellent attitude of service: this hotel is a real jewel. The manager attends every detail. I really feel that I was in a dream during my whole vacation . Perfect for couples and for families… will be back and never forget this excellent experience.

Lindos Mare was one of the best hotels I ever stayed, no matter the location (near Lindos Village), the facilities, the easy access to the beach, the amazing view, and the staff.
