Sometimes the best spots aren’t the ones with fancy marble lobbies – they’re tucked away in neighborhoods where actual Greeks live and work. Lina’s Amazing House sits right at this perfect intersection in Ialysos, literally on the corner of Megistis and Ermis streets, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you planned it yourself. I mean, you’re close enough to Ixia Beach that you can practically smell the salt air, but far enough from the main tourist strip that you won’t hear drunk Brits singing football chants at 3 AM.

The thing about Lina’s place – and this is something you only figure out after staying at a bunch of Greek accommodations – is that it actually feels like someone’s home, not a sterile rental property. The 9.8 rating isn’t some fluke either; Lina clearly knows what travelers need before they even realize they need it. There’s proper water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in Greece), the WiFi actually works throughout the space, and she’s got this knack for anticipating questions. When I arrived, there were already printed maps with her handwritten notes about which tavernas serve the freshest fish and where to catch the bus to Rhodes Town without getting ripped off by taxi drivers. The house itself has this lived-in warmth – you know those places where the furniture actually matches and someone clearly thought about where to put the reading lamp? That’s this place. Plus, parking is sorted, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through Ialysos during August, you’ll understand is basically priceless.

What really sells me on this spot though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re genuinely in a residential area where you’ll see Greek families going about their daily routines, kids playing football in the small squares, and local cafés where the menu isn’t translated into five languages. The corner location means you’ve got easy access in multiple directions – beach days, historical sites, or just wandering around Rhodes without feeling like you’re staying in some isolated tourist bubble. I’ll be honest, the area can get a bit quiet in the evenings (this isn’t Faliraki), but that’s exactly why it works so well as a base. You get your fill of crowds and chaos during the day, then come back to somewhere that actually lets you decompress. And Lina herself? She’s one of those hosts who strikes that perfect balance between being helpful and giving you space to just exist in the place.

  Everything, couldn't fault it. House is beautiful, facilities were second to none. Manager was very helpful and always available with advice. Did have to rely on hiring a car – great supermarket close by. Could do with a few coasters. Perfect! Felt very at home.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Just a bit further from beach/shops than we realised and it was far too hot to walk which we would have done if it had been cooler.

  The house is really big and confortable, has a great garden and outside spaces and also the inside is huge. The host and the manager are very kind, if you need something they will help you. The house has everything you need and is a great place to go if you are going to spend some time in Rhodes with 10 people, compared to other places is very cheap considering the offering.

  Das Haus war groß, sehr sauber und Gemütlich ebenso der Garten. Es gab alles, was man brauchte( Shampoo, duschgel,Toilettenpapier, Handtücher, Wein, Wasser Süßigkeiten Obst etc). Der Besitzer war sehr net und hat deutlich auf Details geachtet Ich kann ihn auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen

  Casa veramente comoda per 8 persone, con l'aria condizionata in tutte le camere e la sala. All'esterno c'è un ampio giardino con un barbecue grande dove si può grigliare tranquillamente. Per ultimo voglio fare i ringraziamenti e i complimenti ai nostri host per la cortesia e gentilezza dimostrata

  Struttura meravigliosa, circondata da vasto giardino con alberi da frutta. Casa spaziosa e ben arredata. Posizione ottima per raggiungere le spiagge migliori che distano una ventina di minuti.

  Отличное место для проживания как на короткий ,так и на длительный период. Хороший чистый и уютный дом. Видно что, хозяева заботятся о своих гостях и делают все возможное для удобства и комфорта. Все необходимое для комфортного проживания имеется. Уборка,смена белья каждую неделю. Хозяева оказали нам очень теплый прием, за что им отдельное большое спасибо. Очень советую!!! Вы точно останетесь довольны от отдыха в этом доме!
