Honestly, when I first pulled up to Liam Beach Front Luxury Villa, I wasn’t sure my GPS had gotten it right – you’re basically driving through the quiet village of Fanes (the locals just call it Fánai), and then suddenly there’s this stunning modern villa perched right on the coastline. The whole area feels wonderfully untouched compared to some of the busier Greek island spots, which is exactly what you want when you’re looking to actually unwind.

The infinity pool is genuinely massive – they’re not kidding about that 100 square meters – and it’s positioned so perfectly that you get this seamless view where the pool water just melts into the Aegean. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of infinity pools that are more marketing than magic, but this one actually delivers. The deck chairs are substantial (not those flimsy plastic things), and there’s enough space that you’re not bumping elbows with other guests even when it’s busy. What really got me was how quiet it stays here, even during peak season – you’ll hear the waves and maybe some distant conversation, but none of that resort chaos you sometimes get stuck with.

The villa itself strikes this nice balance between luxury and livability. Sure, it’s got the high-end finishes and that sleek Mediterranean aesthetic, but it doesn’t feel like a museum where you’re afraid to touch anything. The rooms are spacious without being cavernous, and honestly, the air conditioning works like a dream (which matters more than you’d think in July). Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel theater, just genuine hospitality from people who clearly know the area well. They pointed me toward this little taverna about ten minutes down the coast road that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. Parking’s easy too, which is sort of a relief since some of these coastal properties make you hike your luggage half a mile from wherever you managed to squeeze your rental car.

You know what really sets this place apart though? It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’ve discovered something special without sacrificing comfort. The beach access is direct – no shuttle buses or long walks – and the water here stays remarkably clear even when other spots get churned up by afternoon winds. Mornings are particularly gorgeous; I’d grab coffee and sit by the pool around 7 AM when everything was still and golden. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the nearest proper town is about a 15-minute drive, so if you’re someone who needs constant dining options or nightlife right outside your door, you might feel a bit isolated. But honestly, that isolation is exactly what makes it work – you’re getting authentic Greek island vibes without the crowds, and when you do want to venture out, you’re still close enough to reach the livelier spots without much hassle.
