You know what caught me off guard about Lambou Beach Sunset? The name actually undersells it. I mean, yeah, the sunsets are incredible – you’re literally watching the sun drop into the Aegean from your balcony – but there’s so much more going on here that most people miss when they’re just scrolling through photos online.

The hotel sits right in Soroni, which honestly feels like the Greece you imagined before you got here. It’s about 25 minutes south of Rhodes Town, far enough that you escape the cruise ship crowds but close enough that you can still hit Mandraki Harbor when you want proper nightlife. The road from Kamirou gets a bit winding – nothing crazy, but rental car companies don’t always mention that part. What they really don’t tell you is how this stretch of coastline stays relatively quiet even in July and August. Most tourists stick to the eastern beaches, so you get this almost private feel to the water here.

The staff actually remembers your name after day two, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to relax. Check-in was smooth – they had cold towels waiting, which I appreciated after the drive from the airport. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star, nothing fancy but everything works. Air conditioning is strong (crucial in summer), and the bathrooms are recently updated. I stayed in a sea-view room on the third floor, and honestly, waking up to that view never got old. The balconies are deep enough to actually use – you can have breakfast out there without feeling like you’re performing for the people below.

What sets this place apart is how they handle the beach situation. It’s not technically a private beach, but the hotel has an arrangement with the local beach bar that basically makes it feel exclusive. Umbrellas and loungers are included, the beach isn’t rocky like some spots on Rhodes, and the water stays shallow for a good distance out – perfect if you’re traveling with kids or just want to float around with a book. The beach bar serves surprisingly good gyros too, proper ones with the meat carved right off the spit.

Evenings are where Lambou Beach Sunset really shines. The hotel’s restaurant terrace faces west, so dinner comes with a show every single night. The menu leans Greek but isn’t trying too hard to be authentic – they know their audience. Fresh fish comes in daily from the local boats (ask your server what just came in), and their Greek salad actually tastes like something instead of just tourist food. Service can slow down during sunset hour because, well, everyone’s watching the sky, but that’s sort of the point.

The pool area gets busy mid-afternoon when people come back from exploring, but mornings are peaceful. There’s this spot by the olive trees where you can grab a lounger and feel completely removed from everything. Wi-fi works throughout the property, though it’s honestly more reliable in the lobby if you need to get actual work done. Parking is free and easy – another thing that’s not guaranteed everywhere on the island. If you’re thinking about staying here, book the sea view. Trust me, the extra cost pays for itself the first night when you’re sitting on that balcony with a glass of Assyrtiko, watching fishing boats head out as the sun disappears.

  Great location on a virtually private beach. Great for kitesurfers (albeit somewhat tricky to launch) due to pebbly beach. House is newly renovated with great attention to detail and all necessary amenities.
  
  What could be improved: The sea can get a bit rough for infants and very small children, but that is true for most of the northern side of Rhodes.

  This was our most perfect stay, we couldn't imagine it better.
  The house is brand new, all amenities are new and clean.
  It is located 15 mins drive from the airport and there is a grocery shop just 1 km away from the house.
  It is just on the seaside, so you need to do literally 10 steps and you are into the sea.
  We were kitesurfing just in front of the house which is super cool and is nothing that you can easily find.
  The outdoor area is great , comfortable and well maintained.
  Rula, our host offered an exceptional service. She welcomed us with snacks, fruits, beer and wine. She was on our response the whole time by giving us suggestions where to go for sightseeing and food. My daughter didn't feel well at the beginning of our stay and Rula immediately organised a doctor for her. I have never met so nice and dedicated host.
  I highly recommend the place, this is suitable for a group of friends or 2 families.
  We are so happy and for sure we'll come again next year.
  Car is needed, but it would be needed anyway on this island wherever you stay, so you can explore.

  Everything exceeded our expectations.The property has all the facilities (dishwasher, owen, washing machine, etc). Everything was very clean. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. The host, Marula is very kind, friendly and helpful!

  Ein sehr schönes Ferienappartement mit herrlichem Ausblick auf das Ägäische Meer und die Berge in der Türkei. Das Ferienhaus befindet sich direkt am Strand. Villa Lambou ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Es ist alles was man benötigt vorhanden. Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit, wobei sie sehr diskret agiert. In der Nähe befinden sich fußläufig erreichbar schöne Tavernen.
  Wir werden sicherlich wieder hier her kommen, weil man sich wie zu Hause fühlt.
  Richtig schade zurück nach Deutschland zu fliegen.
  
  What could be improved: Wir haben in diesem kurzen Zeitraum nichts negatives entdeckt. Das Einzige ist, dass der Aufenthalt viel zu kurz war.

  Wir haben wundervolle Urlaubstage bei Marula im Lambou Beach Sunset verbracht.
  
  Das Apartment ist modern und geschmackvoll mit allen Annehmlichkeiten eingerichtet.
  
  Marula ist eine sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns tolle Tipps zu Ausflügen und leckerem Essen gegeben und war bei Fragen immer ansprechbar. Wenn nicht persönlich, dann per WhatsApp.
  
  Faule Lesetage haben wir auf der weitläufigen Terrasse im Schatten der Pergola verbracht mit gelegentlichem schwimmen im Meer direkt dahinter.
  
  Diese herrliche Umgebung haben wir sehr genossen. Nochmals einen sehr herzlichen Dank an Marula.

  Tolle neue Ferienwohnung, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet. Es war alles sehr liebevoll hergerichtet. Sehr schön gestalteter Außenbereich. Die herzliche stets hilfsbereite Eigentümerin Marula lebt im gleichen Gebäude gibt gerne Tipps für Restaurants und hilft bei Problemen weiter. Wir haben uns hier super wohl gefühlt. Danke für alles!
  
  What could be improved: Das Haus ist nur durch eine schmale selten befahrene Sandstraße vom Meer getrennt. Zum Baden sind jedoch Badeschuhe sinnvoll, da der Einstieg recht steinig ist. Soroni ist fußläufig 15min. erreichbar, aber wer hier was zum bummeln oder Party machen sucht ist fehl am Platz. Ein Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen.

  Muy recomendable! Todo está nuevo, las habitaciones tienen baño propio, las camas son cómodas y tiene un gran jardín con vistas al mar, en primera línea, ideal para desayunar o ver la puesta de sol. La vista del atardecer es inmejorable!
  
  Se nota que la casa está puesta a detalle, con cariño, y tiene todas las comodidades, hasta dos tipos de cafetera, para hacer buen café (americana de goteo y express).
  
  El pueblo es muy auténtico (en la zona menos turística de la isla), con algunas tiendas, gente local y buenos restaurantes.
  
  La playa es de piedra, pero está muy bien para darse un baño, ya que una vez en el agua hay arena, y está literalmente a la puerta de casa.
  
  Y ademas, la propietaria Marula es muy amable, hospitalaria y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Todo un acierto!

  Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche bei Marula verbracht. Sie ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und alles ist vorhanden und funktioniert einwandfrei! Der Garten bietet viel Platz zum Spielen oder um Kites aufzubauen. Aber eher für erfahrene Kiter geeignet, da keine Safety vorhanden und der Start auch nicht ganz einfach ist. Einen Pool braucht man nicht, da das Meer direkt vor der Tür ist.
