You know what struck me first about La Casa di villagio? It’s tucked away on 25ης Μαρτίου in Koskinou, and honestly, I almost walked right past it because it blends so naturally into the neighborhood. This isn’t one of those hotels that screams “tourist trap” from a mile away – it actually feels like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored village home. The whole area has this authentic Greek charm that you don’t get in the flashier resort zones, and I mean that in the best way possible. Koskinou itself is this gem of a traditional village where locals still hang their laundry on lines between buildings and you’ll hear Greek conversations drifting from tavernas rather than English-speaking tour groups.

The hotel itself is remarkably well-maintained for a 4-star property – I’ve honestly stayed in 5-star places that felt less polished. What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep that traditional Greek architecture while making everything feel modern and comfortable. The rooms have this lovely balance of old-world character (think exposed stone walls and traditional tiles) with amenities that actually work properly. The air conditioning was a godsend during my August stay, and surprisingly quiet too – you know how some places have units that sound like jet engines all night. The staff genuinely seemed to care about getting details right, which you notice in small things like how they remember your coffee preference or suggest timing for local attractions to avoid crowds.

What I really appreciate about staying here is the location gives you easy access to Rhodes’ highlights without being stuck in the middle of all the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to hop over to Rhodes Old Town when you want that medieval fortress experience, but you can also explore the more authentic side of the island from here. The parking situation is actually manageable (trust me, this matters in Greece), and there’s something really peaceful about ending your day in Koskinou after dealing with the crowds elsewhere. I’d definitely come back – it’s one of those places where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Greece, not just the postcard version.

  Reibungslos , sehr guter Kontakt mit uns wurden mit Obst und Wein… begrüßt! Sehr schöne Lage mit kleinen Supermarkt gegenüber. Auto ist wichtig. Trotzdem sehr zentral und Strand in fünf Minuten Autofahrt erreichbar. Sehr zu empfehlen.
