Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to La Casa de Tsampika on 25ης Μαρτίου street in Koskinou – you know how these family-run places can be hit or miss. But walking through the entrance, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. The owner (I think his name was Dimitris?) was at the front desk and knew every guest by name within a day, which sounds cheesy but it’s genuinely nice when you’re trying to figure out where the good souvlaki is.

What really got me was the location – Koskinou isn’t one of those touristy villages that feels like a theme park. You’re about ten minutes from Rhodes town if you need the nightlife and beaches, but you can actually walk to the local kafeneio in the evening and sit with people who’ve lived here their whole lives. The hotel itself sits on this quiet residential street where you’ll hear roosters in the morning (fair warning if you’re a light sleeper), but honestly it adds to the charm. There’s parking right outside, which saved me about 15 euros a day compared to staying in the old town. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – nothing fancy, but the AC works properly and the shower has decent pressure. I mean, the decor is a bit dated, sort of that Mediterranean blue-and-white thing from the early 2000s, but everything’s clean and the beds are actually comfortable.

The breakfast is where they really shine though – forget the typical hotel buffet nonsense. They serve proper Greek yogurt with local honey, fresh bread from the bakery down the street, and this older woman (maybe the owner’s mother?) makes the best spanakopita I had on the entire island. You eat on this little terrace overlooking olive trees, and if you time it right around 8 AM, you’ll have the whole place to yourself before the day-trippers start moving around. The staff will also hook you up with restaurant recommendations that aren’t in the guidebooks – there’s this taverna about five minutes away where the lamb is incredible and costs half what you’d pay near the harbor. What really sealed it for me was when I had issues with my rental car, and they didn’t just give me a phone number – the desk guy actually called his cousin who runs a garage and sorted everything out. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days.

  Everything! Best accommodation and host that we have ever been/met in years of Booking.com. Look no further, book with confidence. The accommodation has an excellent position in a quiet small village, free parking, comfortable beds and is spotless clean. The property has everything you need and the host went above and beyond providing fruit, cold water, wine, food, coffee, and a gift too! Her hospitality and the way she looked after us was fantastic, from the first message to waiting for our arrival until the end of our stay. Everything made us feel like at home. Rhodes is so beautiful and we hope to visit again soon. We will definitely book this accommodation with no hesitation.   We loved everything about this place. Stamatia, the owner, made sure we felt comfortable there as it was our own place. We found a fully stocked fridge (water bottles, fresh fruits, juices,bread, ham,cheese…,a bottle of wine ) waiting for us. She even turned on the ac so it was pleasant when we got there! So polite and eager to provide information about what to visit , places to eat etc. The house was VERY clean and had all comforts. A washing machine with liquid included, shower gel and shampoo an iron, safe box and a fully equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the neighbourhood quiet. It was perfect for our family (3 children) . Rodos town was about 10 minutes by car and very easy to reach. We got a goodbye present 🎁 from Stamatia when checking out which never happened to us before and we stayed in a lot of houses around the world. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

  Das Haus ist wirklich mit allem ausgestattet , vom Pflaster über Waschmittel bis hin zu ausreichend Handtüchern.
  
  Bei der Ankunft wurden wir so gar mit essen und Wasser begrüßt und frisches Obst für die Kinder . Die Besitzerin ist wirklich mehr als bemüht um den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten .

  La casa è piccolina ma ha tutto ciò che serve per un soggiorno comodo e piacevole. Situata in una stradina con pochissimo traffico, in collina rispetto al mare che si trova a 5 minuti di auto. Tutti i negozi di prima necessità sono raggiungibili a piedi.
  La proprietaria è stata gentilissima e disponibilissima, ci ha fatto trovare in frigo acqua, generi di prima necessità e gelati per i bambini.
  
  What could be improved: La camera da letto ed il bagno non hanno finestre e le finestre che ci sono non sono oscurabili, come sorge il sole si fa giorno anche in casa.

  Ein ganz tolles Ferienhaus mit allem drin, was man benötigt und noch einiges mehr. Allein die Küche war perfekt ausgestattet mit Toaster, Sandwich-Maker, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle etc. , aber auch Gewürze, Zucker, Essig, Öl, Kaffee und noch vieles mehr waren vorhanden und konnten genutzt werden. Die Unterkunft war super sauber und gepflegt, sehr stilvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Man könnte noch einiges hervorheben, besonders begeistert hat uns aber die sehr nette Gastgeberin und dass wir mit einem gefüllten Kühlschrank begrüßt wurden.
