Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to KRESTEN ROYAL Euphoria Resort, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s about six kilometers down the Rhodes-Kalithea road from the main town, which means you’re sort of tucked away from the tourist chaos but still close enough to pop into Rhodes proper when you want to. The property itself is… well, it’s big. Really big. One of those sprawling resorts where you actually need the little golf cart shuttles to get around, though I ended up walking most places because I’m stubborn like that.

What surprised me was how they’ve managed to make such a massive place feel relatively intimate. The grounds are gorgeous – lots of olive trees and Mediterranean landscaping that doesn’t look forced or overdone. You know how some resorts feel like they just dropped a building onto cleared land? This doesn’t have that vibe. The pools (there are several) cascade down toward the sea, and honestly, the main infinity pool area around sunset is pretty spectacular. I mean, the Aegean stretching out like that – it never gets old. The beach access is decent too, though it’s a bit rocky. Pack water shoes if you’re planning to do much swimming in the sea itself.

The rooms are solid – nothing groundbreaking, but the beds are comfortable and the balconies actually have space to sit and have your morning coffee. Air conditioning works well, which you’ll appreciate in July and August when it gets properly hot. Service is generally good, though like most Greek resorts, things move at a more relaxed pace than you might be used to. Don’t expect lightning-fast room service, but the staff is genuinely friendly. The breakfast buffet is extensive – probably too extensive, actually – with a good mix of international options and local Greek dishes. Pro tip: the Greek yogurt with honey is fantastic, and they make fresh bougatsa some mornings if you’re lucky.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned for day trips. Kalithea Springs is literally a ten-minute walk down the road – those Art Deco thermal baths are worth seeing even if you don’t swim. Anthony Quinn Bay is close enough for an afternoon trip, and if you rent a car (which I’d recommend), you can easily explore the medieval town of Rhodes or head up to Lindos for the day. The hotel provides shuttle service to Rhodes town, but it runs on a schedule, so having your own transport gives you more flexibility. Parking at the resort is free and plentiful, which is nice.

Is it perfect? No – it’s a big resort, so sometimes the restaurants get crowded, and the animation team can be a bit… enthusiastic if you’re looking for peace and quiet. But for what it is – a well-run, comfortable base for exploring Rhodes with genuinely beautiful surroundings – it delivers. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me. It’s not going to blow your mind, but you’ll leave feeling like you had a proper Greek island holiday without any major complaints.

Reviews

  • Chitrangana from Austria – 13 October 2024 (8/10)

Beautiful property, all inclusive was really taken care of. Loved all their pools was an amazing time.

What could be improved: The reservation system for other restaurants and services, mostly everything was sold out and we didn’t get a chance to try everything even though we were there for 5 days.

  • Melissa from United Kingdom – 24 September 2024 (8/10)

Nice views and facilities and pleasant, helpful staff.

What could be improved: The price is quite expensive for the level of the hotel

  • Andrea from United Kingdom – 5 September 2024 (9/10)

Everything was amazing. The room for four with a private pool was an excellent idea. There were plenty of good options for breakfast, both cold and hot. The snack bar had excellent food for lunch if you didn't want to go to the restaurant. The pool bar served excellent cocktails. The location was near the sea, perfect and safe for kids to snorkel.

What could be improved: We went in a family trip to celebrated a birthday and let the hotel know this but they don't have any option for decorated small decorated celebration or any detail for the room except a bottle the champagne. It was poorly.

  • Lily from Belgium – 21 August 2024 (9/10)

We were upgraded for free to a private suit with a swimming pool. It was also close to the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. Our room was very spacious , AC, with small fridge, tv, sofa, chairs , coffee table, kettle with cups, mini bar with some sine and soft drinks that were included in the price. The room looked older compare to the picture. The door to the swimming pool required some force to open it. There were some insects in the room, but its not the hotels faults , so for us it was not a problem.
There is also a gym, with various machines for cardio and weight training, water cooler.
We didn't use a swimming pools since we prefer the sea.
We choose an option only with breakfast and went once to have dinner in the restaurant at the hotel (all inclusive). The variety of food was amazing and the quality was top quality. I don't eat meat and there were plenty of vegetable and fish. My husband was very with the meat they had. Highly recommended.
The beach near the hotel is rocky, so its better to have swimming shoes.

What could be improved: Wellness, massage, manicure and face treatments were super expensive so we didn't use them. it much cheaper to do it at home (Belgium).
The AC, in my opinion was not powerful enough for the gym, it was always very hot in there.

  • B from Israel – 24 July 2024 (8/10)

    Views and pools are great

What could be improved: Greec food

  • Sam from Australia – 2 July 2024 (8/10)

Large clean comfy rooms and beds. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great facilities and pool areas. We were upgraded to a sea view room with private pool. No complaints.

What could be improved: We were not all inclusive however lunch options appeared to be the same during the few days we were there. Not sure if dinner was the same.

  • Chia from Austria – 25 June 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Lack of easy access to public transport.

    Fantastic resort staff were lovely

What could be improved: Nothing every thing was fabulous

  • Lynn from United Kingdom – 6 April 2024 (9/10)

This place is very classy, convenient and easily accessible. The staff were always available to assist . Breakfast was on point so as dinner. Above all the weather was excellent.

    What could be improved: N/A

  • Caroline from Ireland – 29 August 2023 (9/10)

    Facilities are great

What could be improved: Location there wasn’t much you could walk to but bus did run along the roadway so it was handy.
