Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Kitesurf Paradise Studios on that long stretch of road between Rhodes Town and Kamiros, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name kind of gives it away, but this place is actually perfectly positioned for wind sports enthusiasts, sitting right where the Aegean gets those consistent winds that make kitesurfers absolutely giddy. You’re about 20 kilometers out from Rhodes Town, which means you get the best of both worlds – easy beach access without the cruise ship crowds that pack the main tourist strips.

The studios themselves are clean and functional (I mean, it’s a 4-star place, so your expectations should be calibrated accordingly), but what really struck me was how the owners actually understand their clientele. There’s proper gear storage – and I’m talking about real drying areas for wetsuits, not just some sad hooks in a corner somewhere. The kitesurfing community is pretty tight-knit around Theologos, and you’ll find yourself chatting with other travelers over morning coffee about wind conditions and the best launch spots. Speaking of which, Ialyssos Beach is literally a few minutes’ drive away, and honestly, it’s one of those beaches where you can watch people absolutely flying across the water on their kites – pretty mesmerizing even if you’re not into the sport yourself.

What I appreciated most was the genuine local feel of the area. You’re not stuck in some resort bubble here. There’s a decent taverna about a five-minute walk down the road where the portions are generous and the owner’s wife makes this incredible moussaka (though honestly, you might need to brush up on your Greek or use some creative hand gestures). The location puts you right in the sweet spot for exploring the western coast – Kamiros ruins are practically next door, and if you rent a car (which you probably should), you can hit Ancient Kamiros in the morning and still be back for afternoon wind sessions. Parking’s never been an issue when I’ve stayed, which is honestly refreshing after dealing with some of the nightmare parking situations closer to Rhodes Town. The check-in process is straightforward, though the staff’s English can be hit-or-miss depending on who’s working. That 8-point rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re coming here for Instagram-worthy infinity pools and spa treatments, you’re missing the point entirely. But if you want a solid base for exploring this gorgeous, less-touristy part of Rhodes, with easy access to some seriously good wind and water conditions, then yeah, this place makes a lot of sense.

  It was a great location, just a minute's walk from the beach. The apartment was very clean, and a great deal for that price.
  
  What could be improved: There wasn't any WIFI in the apartment. We only accessed the WIFI from the restaurant next door, and that only worked on the patio.

  the accommodation is excellent, spacious inside and out and very well equipped
  Apart from one nearby hotel with a nobody animation programme, it's a lovely quiet area, you can see the beach from the terrace and its a very short walk away. right next door is the lovely Marposa restaurant with very helpful staff. if you're onto kite surfing, the title is spot on: kite surfers paradise as the beach so close by is the kite surf station. Nice beach cafe bar there with sunloungers, beds and a pool
  
  What could be improved: I requested a sunlounger, which did not appear, and as we were trying to limit luggage I asked what toiletries were provided, was told there would be some, and there weren't. Minor, but adding up to a lack of interest by the owner, who then wanted to charge us for a,late checkout after admitting that the cleaner wouldn't come in til after our flight anyway. if you're not a kite surfer, there really is nothing to do, you can swim snd sunbathe but need to keep out of the surfers way, and there are only a very few shops snd restaurants. you'd need car for a trip longer than a couple of days.

  What could be improved: The apartment is already a bit old and some things are not working great anymore. The AC can't be adjusted so it was either too hot or way too cold in the room. The shower head is spreading water in all directions.

  For the money this accommodation is perfect! The location is ideal for the resort of Tholos. I would have no hesitation on rebooking this property in future.

  It has a great view from the balcony and it was a pleasure to watch kite surfers every day.
