You know what caught me off guard about Kiriakos Apartment? The moment I turned off the main road in Griva, everything just… quieted down. I mean, you’re still close enough to Afantou’s center that you can grab groceries or hit up one of those family tavernas locals actually eat at, but there’s this residential calm that’s honestly hard to find along this stretch of Rhodes. The apartment itself sits in this understated building – nothing flashy, but you can tell someone actually cares about the place. Parking was a breeze too, which anyone who’s driven around Greek islands in summer will appreciate.

What really sold me on this spot was how it felt like staying in someone’s well-kept home rather than a sterile rental. The kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking decent knives, not those dull things most places give you), and the balcony – well, it’s not going to win any Instagram contests, but it’s perfect for morning coffee while you plan your day. The owner, Kiriakos, seems to get that travelers want space to breathe. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no hovering or lengthy explanations about how to work the TV remote. You’re about a ten-minute walk to Afantou Beach, which honestly might be better than beachfront since you avoid the early morning beach cleaners and late-night bar noise. The beach itself is one of those long, pebbly stretches that tour groups tend to skip – meaning more space for you and better parking.

I’ll be honest, this isn’t where you stay if you want resort-style service or a pool to lounge by. But if you’re the type who prefers exploring actual neighborhoods, maybe hitting up the local bakery on Ethnikis Antistaseos street for fresh tyropita, or driving to those hidden coves everyone talks about but never quite explains how to find – this place just works. The 9.5 rating makes sense once you realize it’s doing exactly what it promises without any pretense. Plus, being in Griva means you’re positioned perfectly for day trips around the island without dealing with the crowds and inflated prices of the main tourist strips. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing Rhodes rather than just visiting it.

  Our host was really helpful and always available. The apartment is very nice, spacious, and well-equipped, you find everything you need during your stay. We really enjoyed ourselves on our first family trip with our 9 months old baby. Thank you for everything♡ very much recommended!

  We stayed there last year as well and were very satisfied. So also this time. The host himself met us, offered us cold water and handed over the apartment. In addition, there was wine and some snacks waiting for us in the fridge. Before leaving, he brought us a big cake.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing to point out. The only suggestion would be that it would be nice to have an extra roll of toilet paper in the closet for a large family. 😉

  we stayed in this charming apartment in a week of June, we fell in love with the photos, and everything was exactly like this. and so was the kindness of the owners, two totally exquisite people. the place is in the center of the island, where it is easy to reach the best beaches on the unventilated east coast, such as Anthony Quinn, st Paul bay, Lindos beach and also Rhodes town. in the house there were all the comforts for a whole family, we didn't have to ask for anything else. upon our arrival we found everything needed for breakfast the next morning and also a bottle of wine. the most beautiful holiday home ever on a lovely island.   We arrived already in the dark, but there was a sign on the street where Kiriakos apartment is. Savvas met us at the door and immediately gave us an overview of where something was. In addition, he offered us fresh water and there was wine waiting for us in the fridge. The apartment was a good size for our family of five – 3 bedrooms and we could also use the pool. Luckily for us, we didn't have neighbors to share the pool with either ;). Savvas also sent the wifi password immediately after asking. On the last night, Savvas made a surprise and sent us a very delicious cake. Afantou is a good starting point for visiting the island of Rhodes, as it is equidistant from most of the attractions. We preferred visiting Tsambika beach instead of Afandou beach which was a wonderful place. Our family was very satisfied with the apartment.

  We had a great stay at Kiriakos Apartment. It's huge, spacious and bright. Lots of space for everyone. There were just 3 of us, but the apartment can sleep 6 people in comfort. It also has a charming small pool more for playing and than swimming in, but lovely, with sunbeds. Well-equipped with everything you may need for fixing your own meals. Tucked away in a back street, not far from the main town square. Peace and quiet yet all the facilities you might need (grocery stores, barbers', cafes, health care centres) within a walking distance. A perfect location for the nearby beaches in Faliraki, Afantou and Tsambika, away from tourist crowds. A good taste of the true Greece. The hosts are very kind people always willing to help and offer any information you may need to enjoy your stay to the full. Highly recommended!

  Lovely apartment. Very clean and beautifully presented. Pool was great and we pretty much had it to ourselves the whole length of our stay. The host went out if his way for us when we were dropped off at the wrong place, came and picked us up. Also a lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us on arrival, and a bottle on the eve of our departure amd lovely cake! Very helpful and friendly! Would definitely stay again if we visit Rhodes.

  Rent a car and you'll find yourself in a sweet spot to commute to pretty much any part of the island within 30-35 mins max.
