First Impressions

You know what struck me first about Kipos Suites & Apartments? It’s tucked away on this quiet road in Gennadi, and honestly, the setting feels almost too peaceful to be real. The property has this understated charm — nothing flashy or overdone, just clean lines and that Mediterranean simplicity that actually works. I mean, when you’re coming from the busier parts of Rhodes, pulling into their free parking area feels like you’ve discovered some sort of hidden retreat.

Location & Neighborhood

Gennadi itself is one of those places that locals know about but somehow stays off the main tourist radar. You’re about a 10-minute walk from a gorgeous stretch of beach that’s way less crowded than what you’ll find up north. The village has this authentic Greek feel — there’s a proper taverna down the road where you’ll actually hear more Greek than English, and a small market for essentials. What couples seem to love (and I get why they rated the location so highly) is that you feel properly away from everything, but Rhodes Town is still doable as a day trip if you want the historical sites and nightlife.

The Accommodations

The suites and apartments at Kipos are surprisingly spacious — I stayed in one of the apartments and had a full kitchen, which turned out to be brilliant for making morning coffee and storing those local cheeses and olives you inevitably buy. The decor is modern but warm, with these lovely touches like local artwork and comfortable seating areas. Air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in summer), and the beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-acceptable. Each unit has its own outdoor space too, whether it’s a balcony or small terrace.

Daily Experience

What I really appreciated was how the staff manages to be helpful without being intrusive — they’ll give you solid recommendations for beaches and restaurants, but they’re not hovering. The property itself is beautifully maintained; there’s this lovely garden area (kipos means garden in Greek, which makes perfect sense once you see it) where you can actually relax with a book. The pool area is just the right size — big enough to swim properly, small enough that it never feels crowded or impersonal.

Why Guests Love It

Honestly, it comes down to the balance this place strikes. You get the independence of an apartment with the services of a hotel, in a location that feels authentically Greek without being isolated. The fact that recent guests rated it so highly for location tells you something — this isn’t just about being near a beach, it’s about being in the right spot to experience a different side of Rhodes. Plus, having your own parking space might sound mundane, but when you’re exploring the island with a rental car, it’s one of those small things that just makes everything easier.

  We had a fantastic stay at these modern, clean apartments in Gennadi, Rhodes. The location was ideal—just a 5-minute walk to the center of Gennadi, giving us easy access to local tavernas and shops, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Gennadi Beach was only a 10–15 minute walk away, which made for a pleasant stroll. On your walk you will see a local donkey, lots of kittens/cats and if you’re lucky some deer!
  
  The apartment was a perfect hub for our week exploring the island. Gennadi itself is a lovely, laid-back village. We’d definitely recommend having a car if you plan to travel around and visiting all that Rhodes has to offer!
  
  The peaceful pool area was a great place to unwind and relax, but the real highlight was Mr. Panos. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating—his warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
  
  Overall, a calm and comfortable place to stay in a charming part of the island. Highly recommended!

  La piscina es muy agradable pero las hamacas estaban bastante feas por el paso del tiempo.

  Dopo un quarto d'ora di smarrimento per l'assenza di reception e impossibilità di raggiungere il numero telefonico del gestore, il soggiorno è stato piacevole. La casa è situata alla fine del paese, molto silenziosa. La piscina è piacevole e tutto molto pulito e funzionale. Assolutamente necessario avere una macchina o un motorino.
  
  What could be improved: Il paese di Gennadi è un intrico di case diroccate e carcasse di auto abbandonate.

  Logement bien placé dans Gennadi, a 5 mins de la rue principale où l'on peut trouver tous les restaurants et commerces nécessaire.
  Place de parking pour les véhicules.
  Salon de jardin sur la terrasse.
  Climatisation qui fonctionne très bien.
  Tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et manger.
  Serviettes et draps de bain pour la piscine.
  
  What could be improved: Douche pas très pratique.
