Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to KIKI Stegna – honestly, the name alone had me scratching my head. But this little 4-star gem tucked away in Stegna village completely caught me off guard. It’s one of those places where the 9.6 rating actually makes sense once you’re there, which is rare these days. The village itself sits on Rhodes’ eastern coast, maybe 30 minutes south of Rhodes Town if you take the inland route through Archangelos (though I’d recommend the coastal road for the views, even if it takes a bit longer).

What really struck me about KIKI was how it manages to feel both polished and genuinely Greek at the same time. The owners – and I’m pretty sure they’re locals – seem to actually care about the details that matter. Like, the coffee at breakfast is properly strong, not that watered-down hotel stuff, and they’ve got this little terrace where you can sit with your morning Greek coffee and watch the village wake up. Stegna beach is literally a 3-minute walk down a quiet path, and here’s the thing nobody tells you – it’s one of the few beaches on this side of Rhodes that doesn’t get absolutely hammered by the meltemi winds in July and August. The water stays relatively calm, which makes swimming actually pleasant instead of feeling like you’re in a washing machine. I mean, you’ll still get some afternoon breeze, but nothing like what you’d deal with up in Lindos or some of the more exposed spots.

The rooms are honestly better than what you’d expect from a 4-star – clean lines, decent-sized bathrooms, and thankfully they’ve got proper blackout curtains because the summer sun comes up early here. What I really appreciated was the quiet. You’re far enough from the main Archangelos-Lindos road that you don’t get the constant buzz of scooters and tour buses, but close enough that you can easily explore both directions along the coast. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hovering around while they “prepare your room” nonsense. And here’s a practical tip: there’s actually decent parking right at the hotel, which sounds boring but trust me, you’ll appreciate it when you see how tight some of these village streets get. If you’re planning to visit during peak season (late July through mid-August), book early because places like this that actually deliver on their promises tend to fill up with repeat visitors who know a good thing when they find it.

  The accommodation was beautiful, we were extremely satisfied.
  The ground floor of the house is very well furnished, everything is clean. There is a beautiful garden, 2 pergolas,… You are at the beach in 4 minutes – a small hill that you can easily manage 🙂
  The hosts Anthoula and Fanis are very helpful, pleasant people. They will advise and help you with everything. Everything was perfect and great. A wonderful holiday. I recommend to everyone.

  Anthoula & Fanis are extremely nice and welcoming persons. They do everything to help you enjoy your stay. The house is very well located, just 2 or 3 minutes by foot from the seaside, a little bit inside the village, so you escape all the noise from the beach (many tabernas, cafes…). It is therefore a very quiet place with a lovely and comfortable garden.
  Stegna is a little paradise, very close to famous spots such as Lindos, seven springs, Anthony Quinn bay…
  My wife and I recommend very much Kiki Stegna.

  What could be improved: Mosquitoes. But they are almost everywhere around the world.
  Take your repellent. They bite, but these are not the tiger species. So not too bad. We deal with them 😉

  We cannot commend Fanis and Anthoula's place enough! Beautiful, peaceful and genuine in a very lovely place! Fanis and Anthoula epitomise the genuineness of Greek hospitality! They came to visit us, offering a bottle of wine!!! This place is highly recommended for a genuine experience of Rhodian friendship!!!!

  Very good value for money. The host is very helpful. The garden is big, ideal for families with kids. The apartment is very clean. The beach is not far at all (few minutes walk), silence and cheaper pricing compensates it. Strongly recommended, altogether a very nice experience.

  We really enjoyed our two weeks in Kiki Stagna. The equipment is basic, but for us it was sufficient. You can find in the kitchen everything you need. There is also a washing machine with a washing powder in the apartment. We chose this place due to the garden and it was a perfect choice. There is many places around the house where to sit and relax, we also used the barbecue every second day. The owners are nice and helpful, they also prepared some small present for us which was lovely. The apartment is located 200m from the beach with a small “hill” on the way. We walked it many times a day with small babies (less than 2 years) and there was no problem even for them.

  We had a great stay in Stegna and enjoyed our time there. The house is quietly located in the second row, is only a few meters from the beach and has a beautiful large garden. Our host was very attentive, even came over extra with a bottle of wine and also speaks German, which made communication even easier.
