Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Rhodes, but Kalathos Sea View House honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a place based on photos and location, then cross your fingers? Well, this one actually delivers on what it promises, which is honestly refreshing.

The thing about Kalathos is that it’s far enough from the madness of Rhodes Town (about 45 minutes by car) that you get this authentic Greek island vibe without the cruise ship crowds. The house sits right where you’d want it – close enough to hear the waves but not so close that you’re dealing with beach noise all day. I mean, the sea views are genuinely spectacular, especially from the upper floors where you can see the coastline stretching toward Lindos. Actually, speaking of Lindos, you’re only about 10 minutes away, which is perfect because you can hit the famous acropolis early before the tour buses arrive, then retreat back to your peaceful base.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get at four-star properties. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – decent WiFi that works throughout the property (tested it myself), proper shower pressure, and beds that don’t feel like they came from a discount furniture store. The kitchen facilities are surprisingly well-equipped too, which matters because Kalathos has this fantastic little market where locals shop, and you’ll want to grab some of that incredible feta and those tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. Parking was never an issue, by the way – there’s space right there, no hunting around narrow streets like you get in some coastal spots.

Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be some luxury resort with marble everything, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you that “staying at a friend’s really nice place” feeling. The terrace becomes your morning coffee spot pretty quickly – there’s something about watching the light change over the Aegean that just works, you know? Evenings are even better, especially if you time it right with sunset. The whole area stays pretty quiet after dark, which I appreciated after dealing with party-heavy spots elsewhere on the island. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic Greek island life and actual comfort, this place gets it right.

  Amazing apartment that exceeded our expectations. Great location close to Lindos and several bays/beaches in the area. Super clean, modern and extremely well looked after and equipped. One of the best apartments we have stayed in.

  Cozy appartments with sea side view. It is comfortable to be there for two families with kids and it contains ALL furnitures that you want. We spent brilliant evenings on the balcony. Also, the owner is a greate kind person and helped us with any questions.

  The house is amazing, very modern and newly built. It is very well equipped with everything and is huge. The host was super nice, we even got welcome gifts from them. The town of Kalathos is a small, less busy part of Rhodes, perfect for kids/family but make sure you have a car because you'll need that.

  Хозяева очень гостеприимные и дружелюбные. Заранее с нами связались. Встретили нас в оговоренное время, все показали и рассказали.
  
  Сами апартаменты высший класс – новый ремонт, все красивое и новое. Все очень чисто)
  
  В апартаментах есть все, что только может понадобиться и даже больше! Любая посуда, приборы, вся необходимая техника.
  
  Полный блекаут благодаря наружным жалюзи.
  
  Большая терраса, где можно вечером посидеть.
  
  Отдельно отмечу климатическую систему, которая работает постоянно, вы возвращаетесь домой, а там – всегда прохладно. Также сами кондиционеры расположены так, что на вас не будет дуть, комнаты охлаждаются равномерно.
  
  Есть паркинг для машины с крышей – очень удобно и комфортно, машине не придется жариться под солнцем)
  
  В 10 минутах ходьбы от апартаментов расположен великолепный пляж! Очень чистый, море спокойное, чистое. На пляже расположено замечательное кафе.
  
  В общем – мы в восторге! Спасибо большое, эти апартаменты украсили наше путешествие, нам было очень удобно и кормфортно. Отдых вышел замечательным)
  
  100% рекомендую к посещению.
  
  P.s. к заезду хозяева подготовили небольшой комплимент – фрукты и вино) было очень приятно!)

  Casa perfetta, host puntuale e gentile, casa pulita, ci hanno fatto trovare anche della frutta e una bottiglia di vino di benvenuto. 3 stanze, due bagni. Casa moderna, c'è la macchina del caffè nespresso, lavastoviglie, lavatrice, tutto ciò che serve.
  Terrazzino vista mare piacevole per una cena fuori e per aperitivi.
  Zona a 10 minuti di macchina da Lindos, ovvio è necessaria una macchina o un motorino per spostarsi, ci sono i mezzi e i bus ma più comodo con la macchina. Spiaggia a 3 minuti di macchina, molto comoda.
