Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Ismini Luxury Villa – you know how these “luxury” places can sometimes oversell themselves. But driving along that winding road from Pylona toward Kattavia, with the villa perched up there overlooking Vlicha Bay, I actually got it. The setting is pretty spectacular, and I mean that in the best possible way.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets here, especially in the evenings. You’re far enough from the main tourist strips that you won’t hear the usual resort noise, but close enough to Lindos (maybe 15 minutes by car) that you’re not completely isolated. The villa itself feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a hotel – there’s this relaxed, lived-in quality that’s hard to fake. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time, and honestly, the view from there is worth the trip alone. On clear days you can see across to the Turkish coast, which is kind of surreal when you’re just lounging around.

The rooms are spacious – I mean properly spacious, not that cramped European hotel room thing where you’re bumping into furniture. Air conditioning works well (crucial in summer), and the beds are actually comfortable, which seems obvious but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong. Parking is easy, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with rental cars and unfamiliar roads. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place, not just going through the motions, and they know the area well enough to give you proper recommendations beyond the usual tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little taverna in Kattavia that I never would have found otherwise – family-run place with amazing fresh fish and hardly any tourists.

I’ll be honest, it’s not the cheapest option on this part of the island, but given the location and the fact that you’re getting a proper villa experience rather than just another hotel room, it feels fair. The only minor thing is that you really do need a car here – it’s not walkable to restaurants or shops, so factor that into your planning. But if you’re looking for somewhere that feels special without being stuffy, and you want to wake up to those incredible sea views, Ismini delivers on what it promises.

  It was a beautiful villa, very nicely furnitured, large areas, fantastic terrases (3 ones) where we could prepare bbq and talking. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and it was great that the landlady waited us with food so that we do not have to worry about this on the first day when we arrived late. The landlady was very kind, helpful and provided all the necessary information on time, in case of question reacted immediatelly. Thanks Michaela! Location was perfect, near to Lindos, the best place in the island 😍

  Everything was exceptional, much more than our expectations, very clean and comfortable rooms, new equipment and great location, just 5-min by car from our lovely Lindos. The Villa is totally new in a very lovely quiet area. Moreover, we like to thank one of the friendliest hosts we ever met as he was there for anything we asked for. A great choice!   Locatia este excelenta, nu puteam sa ne dorim mai mult. Aproape de tot ce conteaza: supermarket, plaja, locuri de vizitat. Gazda impecabila, curatenie impecabila, tot necesarul prezent in proprietate, pentru cei care doresc sa se gospodareasca singuri, daca este cazul. Si as mai adauga ca una din foarte putinele locatii din Grecia unde dusul este excelent. Apa fierbinte si presiune in acelasi timp, ceea ce este rar, chiar si in hoteluri.

  Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die relativ zentral Lage für Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung. Ein Traum ist der morgendliche Besuch (am besten direkt zur Öffnung um 8.00 Uhr) auf der Akropolis in Lindos, besonders wenn man kurz nach 07.00 Uhr losfährt. Der Sonnenaufgang mit der Bucht und der Akropolis im Hintergrund ist phantastisch (es gibt hier eine größere Haltebucht kurz vor Lindos auf der linke Strassenseite).

  Zunächst möchte ich dem Eigentümer des Hauses dafür danken, dass er uns eine Unterkunft geboten hat, die weit über unsere Träume hinausgeht.
  
  Das Haus ist sehr groß. Die Terrasse ist sehr großzügig, es gibt auch eine Grillmöglichkeit.
  
  
  Die Lage hat uns mit der Nähe zu Lindos und der Entfernung zum Tsambika und den Faliraki-Stränden zufrieden gestellt.
  
  Es war wirklich ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Obwohl wir 7 Personen waren, hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Ich empfehle es auf jeden Fall für große Gruppen.
  
  Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal besuchen!
  
  What could be improved: Da wir so viele Leute waren, bereiteten wir das Essen zu Hause zu. Beim Abwaschen kam es gelegentlich zu einer Blockade. Sobald ich es dem Vermieter gesagt hatte, kamen sie und reparierten das Problem. Die Lösung wurde jedoch nicht vollständig bereitgestellt. Wir wollten sie nicht noch einmal ermüden. Trotz des Verstopfungsproblems in der Küchenspüle würde ich wieder in diesem Haus übernachten.

  La casa è super pulita e dotata di ogni confort, trovi veramente tutto quello che ti serve. Addirittura la TV in ogni stanza. Parcheggio privato di fronte alla porta di casa. Lo staff gentilissimo, nonostante ha la keybox per un check-in veloce , lo staff , Michaela, ti aspetta per farti vedere la casa e spiegarti tutto quello di qui hai bisogno.
  Posizione ottima, 4 minuti dalla spiaggia più bella LINDOS, dai musei archeologici. Io e la mia famiglia ci siamo trovati BENISSIMO!
