Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along the Rhodes coast, but Hermes Seaview House in Archangelos honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. The thing is, most people rush past Archangelos heading to Lindos, but they’re missing out on this little gem that sits right on Stegna Beach. When you pull up (and yes, there’s actually decent parking, which is rare around here), your first thought might be “okay, nice building” – but then you get to your room and see that view, and suddenly you understand why it’s called Seaview House.

The beach here isn’t the crowded circus you’ll find at Faliraki or even parts of Lindos. Stegna has this laid-back vibe where you can actually hear the waves instead of someone’s terrible playlist. What I really appreciated was how the staff – particularly this older gentleman at reception who knows everything about the area – actually cared about making your stay work. He told me about this little taverna just down the coast road that doesn’t even have a proper sign, just amazing fresh fish. You know what I mean? Those kinds of tips you can’t get from TripAdvisor. The rooms themselves are spacious (I had one facing the sea, obviously), and while the decor isn’t going to win any design awards, everything works properly – the AC actually cools things down, the shower has decent pressure, and the balcony is big enough for your morning coffee ritual.

Here’s what sold me on the place though: Archangelos village is maybe a ten-minute walk inland, and it’s still got that authentic Greek village feel without being touristy. There’s a proper bakery where locals actually shop, and this little square where old guys play backgammon in the evenings. The hotel sits in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to explore – Lindos is twenty minutes by car, Rhodes town is maybe forty – but you’re not dealing with tour bus chaos. I stayed in late September, which turned out to be perfect timing. The summer crowds had thinned out, but the weather was still gorgeous and the sea warm enough for swimming. Honestly, if you’re looking for that balance between having things to do and actually relaxing (without paying Santorini prices), this place delivers. Just don’t expect a resort with animation teams and poolside bars – this is more about waking up to that view, wandering down to the beach with a book, and discovering why locals love this stretch of coast.

  We had a truly enjoyable week at Hermes Seaview House. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos! The terrace and the view were really impressive – especially watching the sunrise, the full moonlight, and the shimmering sea at night was simply magical. The location is peaceful yet close to everything you might need.
  
  Every detail in the house was thoughtfully arranged – from the kitchen equipment to the comfortable beds, stylish decoration, and spotless cleanliness. We felt completely at home. The hosts, Koula and Nikolas, were extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming – they supported us with everything and made our stay even more special.
  
  We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend it to everyone!

  Wir durften die ersten Gäste in diesem fantastischen kleinem Häuschen sein! Liebe Koula, lieber Nikolas: danke das wir eure Gäste sein durften! Es war alles da was man braucht, und sogar noch etwas mehr! Täglich Frische Croissants und Brötchen und sonst noch allerlei Leckereien. Der Blick aufs Meer ist wunderbar! So much love in every corner!!! ❤️❤️❤️ wir kommen wieder!!!!
