Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Rhodes, but Haraki Villas honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book somewhere based on photos and cross your fingers? Well, this place actually delivered. It’s tucked into this quiet fishing village on the southeast coast – and I mean properly quiet, not the kind of “peaceful” you get promised in Faliraki where you’re still hearing quad bikes at midnight.

The villas themselves are scattered on a hillside overlooking the bay, so you’re getting those postcard views without the postcard prices of some other places on the island. What really got me was the attention to detail – the stone work feels authentically Greek (not that fake rustic stuff), and each villa has its own character. Mine had this lovely terrace where I’d sit with morning coffee watching the fishing boats head out around 6 AM. The interiors are clean and modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. Good air conditioning too, which you’ll definitely appreciate in July and August. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I mean, you can cook a proper meal, not just heat up leftovers.

Here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you: Haraki village is perfect if you want to experience a bit of real Greek island life. There’s this tiny beach right below the villas where locals swim – it’s mostly pebbles but the water is incredibly clear. The village has maybe three tavernas, and honestly, they’re all good because they can’t survive on tourist traffic alone. Try Dimitris’ place near the small harbor – his grilled octopus is ridiculous. The drive from the airport takes about an hour, and yes, you’ll want a car because buses to Haraki are pretty sporadic. Parking at the villas is easy though, which is more than I can say for most places in Rhodes Town. The staff at Haraki Villas are genuinely helpful – not just going through the motions. When my rental car broke down, the manager actually drove me to the nearest town to sort it out. That kind of thing matters when you’re far from home. The only minor downside is that if you’re looking for nightlife, you’ll need to drive to Lindos (about 15 minutes) or further. But honestly? After a day exploring the island or just lounging by the communal pool, the peace and quiet feels like luxury. The stars here are incredible too – no light pollution to speak of.

  Super clean, spacious, beautiful. The host thought about every single detail. Such as washing machine, iron and dishwasher. Each area had separate air conditioner and TV. And big wardrobe in master bedroom. On arrival day the fridge was full of refreshing drinks for kids and adults. Host suggest what to see in Rhodas, which beaches to visit.
  Definitely recommended to stay in this apartment!!!

  Could not have asked for more. Absolutely fantastic. The pool was an added bonus. Cracking views of the sea and the mountains. Oh. And Maria is a Greek Angel! She was so helpful.

  Haraki Villas are in a beautiful spot, they are so well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. The villas are immaculate with a lovely pool and grounds. Phillip, Martina and co. are all such wonderful hosts too and the lovely little welcome pack you receive is a really nice touch.

  The rooms are very very clean, well equipped, like the kitchen, towels.
  The attitude of the staff is very pleasant, nice and helpful.

  Great location. Fantastic views. Private. Spacious. Very clean.
  We liked the downstairs patio area close to the pool but also the more private terrace upstairs for evening drinks and snacks.
  Pool great size, lots of chairs. Maria provided beach towels though we had brought our own.
  Very short walk (6min) to beach front with restaurants and bars. can hire sunbeds cheaply for the day.
  Haraki Bay is quiet, beautiful and very family friendly. Good for younger aged visitors but enough restaurants and bars to entertain older.
  Would recommend Haraki Bay Hotel as a great restaurant to eat at. Good gluten free options too!

  The owner of the apartment received us in a pleasant manner, everything was ready for us and very clean, the kitchen is very well equipped and very comfortable, the owner of the place honored him with cookies and a bottle of white wine, the pool was clean and amazing, the garden and the lawn were very well taken care of and everything was very, very clean and tidy, simply a pleasant positive experience Well done for the amazing hospitality, I highly recommend it to those who choose to rent an apartment,
