Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Haraki Sand Beach, I wasn’t expecting much. The village of Haraki is this tiny fishing spot on Rhodes that most tourists completely miss, and honestly? That’s exactly what makes this place special. The hotel sits right there overlooking the bay, and I mean *right there* – you can literally hear the water lapping against the shore from your room.

What actually surprised me was how they’ve managed to keep things authentic without cutting corners on comfort. The 4-star rating isn’t some inflated marketing thing – they’ve genuinely thought about the details. My room had this perfect little balcony where I’d sit with morning coffee, watching the local fishermen head out before the day-trippers from Lindos arrived (which, by the way, is only about 10 minutes down the coast if you want the Instagram-famous village experience). The beach right in front is this gorgeous mix of sand and pebbles, nothing like the crowded strips you’ll find elsewhere on the island. You know what I loved? Around sunset, when the tour buses have cleared out, it’s just you and maybe a handful of locals – pure magic.

The staff here actually knows the area, which sounds obvious but trust me, it’s not always the case. They pointed me toward this little taverna up the hill that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, it had some of the best seafood I’ve had in Greece. Parking was no drama at all – there’s space right at the hotel, which if you’ve tried driving around Rhodes Town, you’ll appreciate. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re looking for nightlife and constant action, this isn’t your spot. Haraki pretty much rolls up the sidewalks after dinner, but that’s the whole point. It’s where you come to actually relax, maybe read that book you’ve been carrying around, swim in water that’s genuinely crystal clear without the crowds. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you realize what they’re going for here – it’s not trying to be a massive resort with every bell and whistle, it’s just doing the beach hotel thing really, really well in one of the most beautiful corners of Rhodes that somehow hasn’t been completely discovered yet.

  We have had a great stay in Haraki Sands apartments. The location just steps from the beach and town of Haraki is ideal. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The staff and Elina the owner are so friendly and efficient. We had a minor medical problem when we were here and they were superb, they helped us in every way, which is so important at a time like that.
  The Apartment is spotless and cleaned 4 times during our stay.

  Haraki Beach is a hidden gem of Rhodes! The beach is clean and not super crowded; there are tons of good restaurants just a short walking distance, three supermarkets with everything you need; there are limited number of rentals on the beach and "Haraki Sand Beach Apartment" is the best! We stayed in apartment number 1. It has a large garden with shaded dining area and enough space for our child to play – we spent most of our time outside! The apartment itself was spacious and airy with full kitchen. The water pressure was excellent. Very clean property! Our towels and linens were changed regularly! My mother was staying in another "Haraki Sand Beach Apartment" on the second floor; that apartment had amazing mountain views and she loved everything about it as well. It was a beautiful apartment with modern furniture and shady afternoons. She can see wild goats early in the morning and beautiful ruins of an old castle. The properties' owner was a young, beautiful woman with a very good English – we enjoyed chatting with her about Greece, Rhodes and life:-) Can't wait to come back!!!

  Perfect location. Hop, skip and a jump to the beach which offered a beautiful and relaxing oasis. The host Eleni was kind, communicative and made our stay perfect. We loved it all.
