Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Haraki Luxury Villas? The fact that you’re actually staying in Haraki village itself – not some sprawling resort complex pretending to be “near” the village. I mean, you can literally walk out your door and be at one of the most underrated beaches on Rhodes in about two minutes. The villas sit right where the fishing boats pull up in the morning, and honestly, there’s something pretty magical about having your coffee while watching the local fishermen sort their catch.

The accommodations themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, but with that Greek villa charm that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-off friend’s place rather than a hotel. Each villa has its own character – some have better sea views, others are tucked back with more privacy among the olive trees. The pools are properly maintained (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in Greece), and the kitchens are actually functional if you want to cook some of those beautiful tomatoes from the village market. What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge – the staff will point you toward the hiking trail up to Feraklos Castle that most tourists never find, or tell you which taverna down by the harbor has the freshest fish that day.

Haraki itself is still refreshingly uncommercialized compared to places like Lindos or Faliraki. Sure, it gets busy in August when the Greek families come for vacation, but even then you’re talking about a gentle buzz rather than chaos. The beach has that perfect mix of sand and pebbles, and the water stays shallow for quite a way out – great if you’re traveling with kids, or if you’re like me and prefer floating around with a book rather than fighting waves. The village has maybe four or five tavernas, a small market, and that’s about it, which is exactly the point. You’re a 20-minute drive from Lindos when you want to see the acropolis and fight the crowds, but you get to come back to somewhere that actually feels like Greece. One small thing – parking can be a bit tight during peak season since the streets are narrow, but the villas have sorted that out with designated spots. And honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I was expecting to find some catch or hidden disappointment, but it really is just a well-run place in a spectacular spot that hasn’t been ruined yet.

  The location was great (especially if you have a car) – really close to Lindos! Had everything you needed! Staff were lovely. Private!
  
  What could be improved: Some flooding in the bathroom after showers (not a major issue). Not completely soundproof of neighbours.

  – Very Quiet and relaxing location. Slight noise from the road but it wasn’t too disturbing.
  
  – Cleaning lady was extremely friendly and very helpful.
  
  – Only a 5 minute walk into Haraki bay, so close to nearby taverna’s and bars.
  
  What could be improved: – The shower floods the bathroom floor quite easily, requiring a number of towels to keep it dry.
  
  – Noticed on a couple of occasions living bugs under the water inside the pool. Likely an easy fix by changing the chlorine levels.

  Haraki Luxury Village was a beautiful place, and we always felt delighted to return to this beautiful home. What truly made our stay exceptional was the care and attention from the entire staff. A special mention goes to the cleaning lady, who was not only incredibly sweet but also meticulous in her work. She made sure everything was always perfect. thank you to all the staff for making our experience unforgettable!

  A beautiful contemporary villa in a perfect location, within easy walking distance of Charaki.
  Perfect size for 2 people, with a great outdoor space and pool.
  Soula was an amazing hostess, nothing was too much trouble for her. She even brought an iron from her own house for us to use as the villa didn't have one. It was a pleasure to meet her.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the villa didn't have a toaster, this was the only negative.

  What could be improved: Wasn’t enough storage for clothes, cooking facilities were very limited could have done with a microwave as it only had a hob and a kettle

  We really enjoyed the private pool and the outdoor space the property had. The cleaner Sulah was very friendly and she made us feel welcome.
  
  What could be improved: As a self catering property, the facilities offered could be improved. No basic cooking items such as salt, pepper, oil etc. The addition of these small items would have made a big difference to the experience!

  Nice design, great location, really enjoyed having our own pool. The housekeeper was very nice and accommodating.
  
  Plenty of nice restaurants nearby in charaki. It's within walking distance but in the summer heat we'd definitely recommend renting a car.
  
  What could be improved: One thing we would have liked is if the villa provided a beach umbrella that we could take with us to the beach, but appreciate that this is an extra.

  Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean. Loved the outdoor pool and comfortable sunbeds. Soula the housekeeper was lovely.
  
  What could be improved: The safe in the room should be bolted to the wall, it could just be picked up and carried away!
  A toaster would have been good.
  More storage drawers for clothes would have been good.
