Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places along the Rhodes coast, but Haraki Beauty really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When you first pull up (and yeah, parking is actually pretty easy here, which is rare for coastal Greek hotels), it doesn’t scream luxury or try too hard to impress you. It’s this quietly elegant place that just sits perfectly in Haraki village, and honestly? That’s exactly what makes it work so well.

The thing about Haraki is that it’s still got that authentic Greek fishing village vibe – you know, the kind of place where locals still outnumber tourists most of the year. Haraki Beauty gets this completely. The staff actually lives in the area, so when they recommend that little taverna down by the water or tell you the best time to hit the beach before it gets crowded, they’re not reading from some script. I mean, the woman at reception told me exactly when the fishing boats come in each morning (around 6:30 AM, if you’re curious), and she was spot on. You can hear the gentle sounds of the harbor from some rooms – not loud enough to keep you awake, but just enough to remind you where you are.

What really sold me was how they’ve managed to feel both polished and unpretentious. The rooms are genuinely well-designed – I’m talking about those little details like actually good lighting for reading and bathroom mirrors that don’t fog up instantly after a shower. The beds are comfortable without being over-the-top, and there’s this nice balance of modern amenities without losing that Greek island character. You’ll notice things like local ceramics and artwork that actually complement the space rather than just filling wall space. The balconies – well, most rooms have them – face different directions, so ask about the view when you book. Some look toward the sea, others toward the hills behind the village, and honestly both have their charm.

The location is what really makes this place special though. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Haraki Beach, which is this gorgeous crescent of sand and pebbles that never gets as packed as the beaches near Lindos (which is only about 20 minutes away if you want to do the tourist thing). The water here is incredibly clear – like, you can see the bottom even when you’re swimming out pretty far. And since you’re right in the village, you can wander over to one of the waterfront restaurants for dinner without needing a car or taxi. There’s this particular spot, Mavricos, where the fish is incredible and the owner will probably end up chatting with you about everything from local history to the best hiking trails nearby.

I’ll be honest – Haraki isn’t the kind of place you come to for wild nightlife or resort-style entertainment. But if you want to experience what Greek island life actually feels like, without sacrificing comfort or dealing with crowds, this is pretty much perfect. The 9.6 rating isn’t just inflated review scores – it reflects the fact that they’ve figured out how to do hospitality really well without making it feel forced or artificial.

  The apartment was conveniently close to the beach, shops and restaurants. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Chrysanthi was extremely helpful with any queries and was very prompt with her replies on Whatsapp. She went above and beyond. The apartment was cleaned every 3 days, with fresh bedding and towels being replaced. The special touches were really appreciated, like the home made treats and the freshly squeezed orange juice from their garden were the best!!

  Absolutely loved the apartment. So modern and spacious and furnished to a high standard. Fab having two bathrooms for a family of 4. The owners mother who cleaned (I’m sorry I cannot spell her name) was so lovely and kind and helped keep the property tidy and clean every 3 days with fresh towels and bedding. In a perfect location, around the corner from the amazing beach, bars and restaurants. The owners were on hand to help and very responsive. We can’t wait to return! Thank you!

  Very close to the beach and restaurants. Lots of space, inside and outside, great for a family of 4. Immaculately clean, modern, loads of storage, really well appointed. Good to have 2 shower rooms, balcony and a large patio for drying all our beach stuff

  The house is located 2min from the main sand beach, restaurants and facilities. At the same time, it is perfectly quiet. The place was bigger than we expected and generally speaking much better than its description. The people are very nice and the cleaning is included into the price. What a wonderful surprise!
