You know what struck me first about Hacienda tradition&relax? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it’s not just some marketing nonsense. This place sits about 20 kilometers from Lindos on the Rodou road, and honestly, that distance from the tourist madness is exactly what makes it work. I mean, you’re close enough to hit the famous Lindos acropolis when you want that Instagram shot, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling back to their hotels at midnight.

The location in Afantou is pretty clever, actually. Most people just know it for the golf course, but locals will tell you it’s one of the few spots on Rhodes where you get that authentic Greek island feel without the theme park atmosphere. The hotel itself has this genuinely relaxed vibe – and I’m someone who usually rolls their eyes at places trying too hard to be “authentic.” But here, you’ll find yourself actually slowing down. The common areas have this worn-in comfort that feels real, not staged. There’s usually a gentle breeze coming through in the evenings (something about how the building sits in relation to the hills), and you can hear the olive trees rustling if you’re paying attention. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no hard sell on spa packages or excursions, just genuine recommendations about the best beach times and where to grab dinner that won’t cost you a week’s salary.

What really gets me is how they’ve nailed that balance between having what you need and not overwhelming you with stuff you don’t. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families settle in, but early morning and late afternoon it’s perfect for actually swimming instead of just posing. Parking is easy – which sounds boring but trust me, after driving around Lindos looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate it. The 9.7 rating makes sense when you stay there; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything just works the way it should. The rooms are comfortable without being fussy, the staff knows their stuff about the area, and you’re genuinely close to some of the island’s best beaches without being right on top of them. If you’re the type who wants to explore during the day but actually relax at your hotel instead of fighting for poolside real estate, this is your spot.

  Our stay at Hacienda tradition&relax was simply amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and hospitality. The owners are one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met – always smiling, always ready to assist, and genuinely caring.
  
  The lovely lady who took care of the cleaning was also exceptionally friendly and attentive. Every day we received fresh clean towels both in the apartment and by the pool, which was a wonderful touch.
  
  The apartment itself is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool is fantastic, clean, and very relaxing. We especially appreciated the shaded parking, the supermarket just a minute walk away, and the fact that beach is only about 10 minutes away.
  
  This place felt like home – peaceful, welcoming, and relaxing. We are truly grateful for the hospitality. We felt incredibly welcome and comfortable here, like being at home. We’re already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect stay on Rhodes!

  Everything was clean and beautiful. Fresh towels were provided daily, and beach towels were conveniently available for guests to take along.
  The location is good, and since we rented a car were able to visit beautiful places around.
  The host was awesome, responding quickly on WhatsApp and giving us great restaurant recommendations.

  The apartment was really nice. It was clean, new, recently renovated and has all the things you need. It has plenty of space and a nice balcony. The airconditioning can always stay on, a lot of places don’t let you. But now we came back in a nice cool apartment. Michalis is also an amazing host. Always on hand to help and great communication. Supermarket is next to the apartment, very nice.
  
  What could be improved: It’s next to the mean road, it makes it easy to enter the property. But you can hear all the traffic coming by.

  Wehad an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding, with everything impeccably maintained. The decor was extremely beautiful, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
  
  One of the highlights was the daily room service, ensuring that everything was always in top condition. The location was also excellent, conveniently close to the main attractions and cities.
  We couldn't find a single negative aspect during our stay!!!!!
  We highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay.

  Accommodation in general was fantastic, lovely rooms, well decorated and cared for, and having a pool was great. Very good location with a supermarket virtually next door and nice little town a short walk away. Well positioned to explore the entire island. Host was great, could not of been more helpful and friendly, and gave some great tips and cared about our stay.

  The property is beautifully decorated and has a very relaxing vibe. The host was very accomodating from day 1 and was always available when we needed anything, which was very much appreciated. The pool is also very nice and provides a place to lay down and some shade. The property is located right next to a supermarket so you don’t have to travel far to get some snacks and drinks. Would definitely recommend!

  In a world of self check ins and automatised hospitality experiences like meeting Michalis are even more valuable!
  The rooms , locations, cleanliness were all excellent but the difference was being welcomed and interacting with Michalis, an example of a passionate and genuine person and business owner. His recommendations , attention to details and big smile made our trip truly great !!! Efcharistó!!
