First Impressions

You know what struck me first about Green Villa? It’s tucked away on this quiet side street in Ialyssos, and honestly, you’d almost miss it if you weren’t looking. The moment I walked through the entrance, though, I could see why couples keep raving about this place — there’s something genuinely intimate about the whole setup. It’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with marble lobbies, but there’s this understated charm that actually feels more authentic than a lot of the bigger places I’ve stayed at.

Location & Neighborhood

Ialyssos isn’t the most famous spot on Rhodes, but that’s sort of the point. You’re close enough to everything — I mean, you can get to Rhodes Town in about twenty minutes — but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds every morning. The beach here is actually pretty decent, and I loved that I could walk there without having to navigate through tourist traps. Plus, Green Villa gives you free parking right on site, which honestly saved me a headache since parking can be a real pain in some parts of the island.

The Accommodations

My room was simple but thoughtfully put together — clean lines, comfortable bed, and this little balcony that caught the morning light perfectly. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was; the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing your neighbors, and the whole place just feels peaceful. The air conditioning worked well (crucial in Greek summers), and there were enough outlets and decent WiFi for when I needed to catch up on things. Nothing fancy, but everything you actually need was there and working properly.

The Pool & Relaxation

The swimming pool is where Green Villa really shines, especially if you’re traveling as a couple. It’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for the property — never felt crowded, even when other guests were around. I spent most afternoons there with a book, and the pool area gets this lovely late-day sun that’s just warm enough without being brutal. There are enough loungers, and the whole setup feels more like you’re at a friend’s well-designed backyard than a commercial hotel pool.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Green Villa isn’t going to wow you with elaborate amenities or concierge services, but it does something more valuable — it gets out of your way and lets you enjoy Rhodes properly. The staff clearly cares about the place, guests consistently rate it incredibly highly (I can see why it earned that 9.8 rating), and there’s this relaxed vibe that makes it easy to unwind. If you’re looking for a genuine, unpretentious base for exploring this part of Greece, especially as a couple, this place just works. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself extending your stay if you can.

  Everything was perfect! The place looks just like the pictures. Beds are super comfy and each room ahas blackout blinds, which make it perfect to rest. You have everything you need and more!
  
  Communication with hosts was easy, we were allowed to do an early check-in, which we appreciated a lot and they were waiting for us already in the house. They were always available and checking up on our needs.
  
  Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone to book it. Easy to move with taxis everywhere, supermarket 5 mins walking, couple of restaurants and shops nearby.
  
  We decided to go to beaches in other areas as we were looking for sandy ones, but there’s a beach walking distance from the house.
  
  We left and inflatable flamingo for the pool named Matilda for others to enjoy too. Take care of her!🦩☺️
  
  What could be improved: Only downside which is minor is that the sun get’s covered by the house already around 2-3PM, so better to take advantage and use the pool early☺️.

  Die Hosts waren extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. der Pool war toll und die Lage sehr praktisch. der Strand war zu Fuß (10 min ca.) erreichbar und Rhodos City mit dem Bus (30 min ca.)

  The property was in a lovely quiet area yet only a couple of minutes walk to the main road and AB supermarket. There were lots of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. There is a regular bus service to Rhodes town and a taxi is about €15 depending on the time. We also hired a car to see other parts of the island and there was a car space at the villa. The owners were delightful and very quick to help with whatever they were asked. I would be very happy to stay here again. Altogether a great holiday.

  Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man benötigt. Handtücher, Shampoo und auch Töpfe, Teller usw.
  Eine Waschmaschine ist auch da.
  Jedes Zimmer hatte eine Klimaanlage und einen Smart Tv. Der Pool ist am Abend beleuchtet.
  Es war sehr sauber und ist modern eingerichtet.
  Die Lage ist auch sehr gut. Es gibt viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe (2min Fußweg) und die Bushaltestelle ist auch nur paar Minuten entfernt.
  Auch der Strand ist sehr nah.
  
  Konstantinos ist ein super Gastgeber. Wir durften etwas später auschecken und als jemand von unserer Gruppe krank wurde, hat er sogar vorgeschlagen uns zum Arzt zu fahren.
  
  Rundum war alles perfekt und wir würden immer wieder hier buchen.
