You know what struck me first about Golden View Studios? It’s actually tucked right into Vlicha Beach in a way that feels intentional – not like they just plopped a hotel wherever there was space. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from this gorgeous stretch of sand that honestly feels more local than touristy, especially if you head there early morning before the day-trippers from Rhodes town start showing up.

The whole setup is pretty smart, actually. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms – they’re proper studios with little kitchenettes that actually work (I’ve stayed in places where the burners barely heat water, but here you can genuinely cook something decent). The balconies face different directions depending on which room you get, but honestly, even the ones without direct sea views catch these amazing glimpses of the coastline between the olive trees. And speaking of those trees – there’s this massive one right by the entrance that provides the most perfect shade during those brutal afternoon hours when the sun feels like it’s personally targeting you.

What really sells this place for me is how the owners seem to get that people want to feel settled, not rushed. Check-in was refreshingly laid-back – none of that frantic resort energy where they’re shoving activity schedules at you before you’ve even found your room. The woman at reception (I think she might be family, not just staff) actually drew me a little map showing the back way to Lindos village that skips most of the tourist crowds. Takes about fifteen minutes on foot if you don’t mind a bit of uphill, and you end up approaching the famous acropolis from this completely different angle that most people never see.

Parking’s straightforward too, which – let’s be honest – matters more than people admit when you’re trying to explore this part of Rhodes. You’ve got your own spot, no circling around looking for street parking or paying daily fees. The beach itself has this lovely taverna called Mavikos (locals actually eat there, always a good sign) where you can grab proper Greek coffee and those little honey cookies that somehow taste completely different when you’re eating them ten feet from the water.

The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs everything to be absolutely pristine and hotel-perfect, this might feel a bit too authentic for you. The charm here is that it feels lived-in and real – like staying at a Greek friend’s family place rather than some sterile resort. The shower pressure’s great, the air conditioning works when you need it, and the Wi-Fi actually reaches the balcony (tested extensively while pretending to work).

I ended up extending my stay by three days, which tells you something. Between the genuine warmth of the people running it, the fact that you can walk to both beach and village easily, and those evenings sitting on the balcony with a bottle of local wine watching fishing boats come back in – well, it just felt right. Sometimes you find places that understand exactly what a vacation should feel like.

  It was a great facility. The room was very spacious, very clean, included everything you might need, also with a nice view. Apostolos is a great host. He is there to help and solve the problems even when you think it is not a big problem. You are in safe hands…
  
  What could be improved: It was not in the center so you'd have to take a bus or a taxi to go there. But it was not far anyways.

  Apartment was fabulous great value for money. Pool and surrounding area was also excellent very clean and the views from both the room and pool were outstanding. The nearest beach is about a 5 minute walk downhill from the apartment but be aware the walk back is not for the faint hearted it is very steep. The beach was very nice with public toilets and a supermarket nearby. The staff at the at the apartment were friendly polite and helpful, nice people.
  
  What could be improved: The bar area has a fantastic view of the beach and surrounding area and is clean and tidy. it can be used to relax and socialise anytime throughout your stay. My only small negative was there was no staff at the bar which was closed during our visit. Having said this you can buy your own drinks at the local supermarket and use the area freely.

  Amazing view, super clean room. It is quite close to Lindos by car (3 km). There is also a swimming pool if you don't want to go to the sea, I really liked it.
  Strongly recommended to stay here if you have plan to visit Lindos 🙂
