You know what struck me first about GM Apartments? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Kalithies where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic – which honestly surprised me because I was expecting typical resort noise. The building itself has this clean, modern Mediterranean look that doesn’t try too hard, if that makes sense. When I pulled up (parking’s right there, by the way – no hunting around side streets), I could immediately tell this wasn’t your standard Greek island accommodation. The owner, George, met me personally and spent like ten minutes just chatting about the best beaches nearby and where locals actually eat. That 9.9 rating? Yeah, I get it now.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to details that most places completely miss. The apartments are genuinely spacious – I mean, you can actually unpack your entire suitcase and still have room to move around. The kitchens are properly equipped too, not just for show, which matters when you want to grab fresh stuff from the morning market in Rhodes Town and actually cook something decent. The air conditioning works perfectly (crucial in July, trust me), and the Wi-Fi is strong enough for video calls back home. But here’s the thing – Kalithies is perfectly positioned between the medieval charm of Rhodes Old Town and the gorgeous beaches on the east coast. You’re maybe fifteen minutes to Lindos, twenty to the city center, and there’s this fantastic little taverna called Symposium literally around the corner that serves the best lamb I had on the entire island.

The luxury part isn’t just marketing speak either – these apartments feel more like staying in a really well-designed friend’s place than a hotel. George stocks the fridge with local treats when you arrive, the linens are actually nice (you know how hotel sheets can be scratchy?), and the balconies have these perfect sunset views over the hills. I spent most evenings out there with a glass of wine just watching the light change. The whole area gets this golden glow around 7 PM that’s absolutely magical. What I appreciated most, though, was how quiet it stays at night – you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the party crowds that descend on Faliraki. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing authentic Greek island life without sacrificing comfort. Honestly, after staying here, regular hotels feel kind of impersonal and cramped.

  I recently stayed at GM Apartments for a week
  The host Billy was brilliant from the start meeting us when we arrived and making sure we knew where everything was. He took our breakfast order for the next morning which was very kind.
  
  The apartment is very modern and nicely presented it has everything that you need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable with good pillows and bedding. Air conditioning is available throughout the property.
  
  The outside space is amazing with plenty of space and the hot tub is great to cool off in and relax.
  
  Billy left us some fresh fruit which was much appreciated and on our departure day he was more than happy for us to have a late check out which was very useful with our evening flight
  
  I would recommend a car as it is 9 min drive to Faliraki but the links to the island are great from the village.
  Would highly recommend and would happily book this accommodation again

  After a delay on our flight we arrived at Rhodes airport. I immediately contacted the property to ensure that everything was ok about our arrival and the check in. The response was instant and ready to guide us with choosing the easiest way for the apartment. After 20 minutes we arrived at the property where Vasilis was there to welcome us. Despite the late time he was willing to help with our luggages and provide all the necessary info. He even took an order for us to have a coffee next morning at our door!!! The next day there was a surprise for us. Vasilis had a variety of fresh delicious fruits at our door. Perfect snack after long day at the beach. Thank you so much for your hospitality we had a great time !! Highly recommended from us!!

  We chose this place because of its high rating and we saw why it has one of the highest ratings during our stay. Location is one of the best places in Rhodes if you have a car. It is in a center of a quite village. 20 mins to the old town, 35 mins to Lindos and 5 mins to a good beach where you can go with your child/toddlers. Other good beaches are respectively 15, 20 and 25 mins to GM Apartments. There are cafes and supermarket in walking distance. The building is new. The suite was spotlessly clean with spare towels and bed sheets. Everything you need is inside the suite. The A/C is brand new (Daikin). The beds are very comfortable. The host Billy is very kind and attentive. We didn’t have any issues with our stay but the host gives you the impression that he solves any inconvenience immediately. We felt like home at this place.

  The apartment is very beautiful and clean just like in the pictures. The host is super friendly and helpful. He offered us breakfast and fresh fruits. The location is perfect if you have a car.

  Check in was no issue, owner there to meet us helped with bags, very friendly service, told us local places to visit so helpful.
  Local village was authentic and locals friendly, little supermarket just few meters up the road and really good bakery. The apartment on top floor was perfect with the jacuzzi. Would highly recommend staying here as so easy to get to Falaraki, Rhodes Town great place to stay.
