Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Georgia’s Apartments? It’s not just that it sits right in Haraki – and I mean *right* in the heart of this sleepy fishing village – but how the owner, Georgia herself, actually remembers your name after day one. I’ve stayed at plenty of places where they hand you a key and disappear, but this felt different from the moment I walked through that blue-painted entrance. The apartments are tucked maybe fifty meters from the main beach, close enough that you can hear the gentle lapping of waves if you keep your balcony door cracked at night, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with any of the (admittedly minimal) tourist crowds that gather near the tavernas.
The thing about Haraki is that it’s still genuinely Greek – not the postcard version you get in Lindos or Rhodes Town, but the real deal where fishermen actually mend nets in the morning and the local kafeneio serves coffee that could wake the dead. Georgia’s place fits right into this vibe. My apartment had this wonderfully lived-in feel, with thick stone walls that kept things cool even during those August afternoons when the sun gets serious. The kitchenette was better equipped than I expected (decent-sized fridge, proper stovetop), which honestly saved me a fortune since I could grab fresh tomatoes and feta from the little market just down the hill. The Wi-Fi worked fine – not blazing fast, but solid enough for video calls back home. Oh, and the shower had actual water pressure, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case.
What really sealed it for me was the terrace situation. Most apartments get these tiny balconies where you can barely fit a chair, but mine had this generous space overlooking the village rooftops toward the castle ruins on the hill. Perfect spot for morning coffee before the day heats up, or evening wine while watching the fishing boats come in. Georgia stocks local wines in the little welcome basket – not the touristy stuff, but bottles from vineyards inland that you’d never find on your own. The whole place runs on this relaxed rhythm where nobody’s rushing you, check-in happens whenever you show up (within reason), and there’s always someone around if you need directions to the hiking trail that leads up to Feraklos Castle. I mean, it’s not luxury in the marble-and-gold sense, but it’s something better – it’s comfortable and real and makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special before everyone else catches on.

Comfortable beds. Fantastic balcony. Efficient airconditioning.
What could be improved: Maybe the oven was broke or did not work if I used the stove.Tatiana from Finland – 11 July 2024 (10/10)
Excellent apartments, a wonderful, quite place for a family vacation, very large comfortable rooms, very clean, cleaning every 3 days, towels and bed linen changed, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Our apartment was on the first floor, I was with two children and we really liked everything! The beach is ten steps away, as are all restaurants and grocery stores. The apartment is a slightly away from the promenade, so you won't hear the noise from the restaurants. The owner is very responsive and flexible. Thank you very much for a great vacation!

Lovely two bedroomed apartment literally right on the beach and near the restaurants. The kitchen had everything you need pretty much. The coffee machine took a little getting the hang of. There's only a tv in the hallway which was strange but we didn't need it anyway. The WiFi was a little in and out. The balcony wraps around so you can sit in the sun most of the day. There's a washing machine which was a bonus and clothes dried really quickly on the balcony washing line.
What could be improved: The steep narrow stairs were a bit of a challenge every day, for my son with size 14 feet and me with my arthritic ankle and dodgy knee! It would have been nice to have a few essentials as a welcome pack rather than a bottle of wine i.e. cooking oil, milk, coffee, ketchup, shower gel,.washing powder, but that's only a suggestion. We were only there for four days so it would have helped with reducing waste. A warning to future traveller to Haraki. Don't sit on the beach on towels. There is a lot of cat mess so watch where you walk and sit. Pay €15 for two sunbeds and an umbrella.
