You know what struck me first about Gennadi Harmony Suites? It’s that perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the waves but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the beach bar crowd stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The 200 meters to the sea is actually more like a pleasant two-minute stroll through some olive trees – and honestly, I preferred it that way because it felt more secluded.

Gennadi itself is this gem that most people skip on their way to Lindos, which is their loss. The village has that authentic Greek island vibe without the tourist traps, and the suites fit right into that atmosphere. The rooms are spacious – I mean genuinely spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious – with these lovely terraces where you can actually sit with your morning coffee without your knees hitting the railing. The kitchenette setup is thoughtful too; they’ve got proper-sized fridges and decent cookware, which matters if you want to grab fresh fish from the local tavernas and prepare it yourself. The air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in July), and the Wi-Fi is strong enough for video calls, though honestly, you’ll probably forget to check your phone much.

What really sets this place apart is how the owners seem to understand what travelers actually need. There’s covered parking – and trust me, after driving those winding Rhodes roads, you’ll appreciate having a guaranteed spot. The pool area has these comfortable loungers that aren’t the flimsy plastic things you find at most places, plus there are enough umbrellas that you don’t have to sprint down at 7 AM to claim shade. The beach you’ll walk to is this gorgeous stretch of pebbles and sand that’s never crowded, even in peak season. Local tip: the best swimming is early morning or late afternoon when the water’s calm – midday can get a bit choppy with the wind. There’s a taverna right on the beach called Manolis (the owner’s a character) where the grilled octopus is incredible, and they’ll let you use their chairs even if you just order drinks. The whole Gennadi area feels like stepping back in time – you’ve got these traditional whitewashed houses, narrow streets where locals still sit outside in the evenings, and that slower pace that makes you remember why you wanted a vacation in the first place. The suites manage to blend modern comfort with that timeless Greek island feel, which isn’t easy to pull off without looking either sterile or like a theme park.

  This is a top notch property. Stylish, comfortable and spotless. Light and bright and really comfortable. Loved the peace and quiet, the pool and how everything was so easy and worked perfectly. And the host Stamatis is a really lovely, helpful guy. I’ve stayed in many places over the years, but this place trumps them all.

  Located a short walk to Gennadi shops and restaurants it was perfect for us. The suite was exceptionally clean and is beautiful decorated. The bed is very comfortable and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our host Stamatis was very contactable and met us when we checked in to ensure we understood how everything worked.

  Harmony Suite looks fairly new, decorated with beautiful furnishings and amenities. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with sea view. Living and dining space are spacious and ideal for family holiday. Stamatis has been an amazing host, he is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended for families who want to spend peaceful and quality time together.
  
  What could be improved: Gennadi area doesn't offer much options for shops and restaurants during the winter season. We wish that the outdoor pool was up and running during our stay.

  Gennadi Harmony Suites are an utter bliss. The location is peaceful and very well designed. It is perfect for 2 couples since each bedroom has its own private bathroom (with shower) and TV. The pool and the outdoor space is well kept which also includes a BBQ area.
  The town is very close by. It has a supermarket, bakery and fruit and vegetable show for quick supplies. In the same town there are a number of tavernas with excellent food.

  Sometimes pictures look too good to be true – not with this place! 🙂 Very modern yet cozy. Dreamy sea view from the bedrooms (upper floor). Very nice pool that is cleaned regularly, nice flowers everywhere etc. Restaurants in Gennadi were also so much better than the ones in Lindos/other bigger towns. Absolutely loved the place!
