Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places along the Greek islands, but Filia Bungalow in Archangelos honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you first pull up – and yes, parking is actually pretty easy here, which is a relief after dealing with some of the nightmare spots in Rhodes town – it doesn’t look like much from the road. But that’s kind of the point, you know? It’s tucked back from all the tourist chaos, close enough to Stegna Beach that you can literally hear the waves at night, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the beach bar noise until 2 AM.

The bungalows themselves are… well, they’re exactly what you’d want after a day of exploring. I mean, the room I had faced toward the sea, and honestly, waking up to that view never got old, even after a week. The owners – and this is where it gets good – they actually live on the property, so when I had questions about where to find the best souvlaki in Archangelos (it’s at that little place near the old castle ruins, by the way), they didn’t just give me tourist recommendations. They told me where they eat. The air conditioning works properly, which sounds basic but trust me, in July you’ll appreciate that it’s not one of those units that sounds like a helicopter landing. The shower pressure is decent too – another thing you don’t think about until you’re standing under a dribble of lukewarm water somewhere else.

What really sold me on this place was the little details that you don’t see in photos. There’s this covered terrace area where I ended up spending most evenings, just watching the sunset paint everything orange and pink over the Aegean. The Wi-Fi actually reaches out there, so I could video call home without having to crouch in the bathroom like I’ve had to do at other places. And the location – I keep coming back to this – it’s perfect if you want to explore the less touristy side of Rhodes. Archangelos village is a five-minute walk, and it’s one of those places where you’ll see more locals than visitors, especially in the evening when everyone’s out for their volta. The beach at Stegna is gorgeous and way less crowded than Faliraki or Lindos, plus the water stays shallow for quite a way out, which is great if you’re traveling with kids or just want to float around with a book. I actually ended up extending my stay by two nights because, well, why leave when you’ve found something that works?

  A superb property in a stunning location. This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint.A wonderful property perfect for a couple in beautiful Stegna.Filio is a wonderful host so kind and generous. A wee piece of paradise.

  We loved the location with wonderful views of the bay. The property was thoughtfully and well designed, which made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Filio was a great host and we loved the breakfast and treats. This is a great property to relax in!

  This was the ideal villa to relax and enjoy the beautiful village of Stegna. The outside space was a perfect place to have breakfast and sunbathe.It had wonderful weather views and was very private. It was a very short walk(5mins) to Stegna centre and beach. It had everything we needed and breakfast was lovely. It was great to start the holiday with a full fridge. We had looked at a lot of accommodation options in Stegna and were so glad we chose Filia Bungalow -we really couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

  Csodás környezet, kényelmes sétára a parttól. Igazi ékszerdoboz, lkicsit távolabb a nagy nyüzsgéstől. Saját medence, külső tusoló, tökéletes légkondi, aprólékos cuki részletek. Egyszerűen tökéletes egy nászúthoz. De minimum egy hetet foglalj,mert nem akarsz eljönni onnan.
  
  What could be improved: Meleg víz néha túl, meleg, és egy rendes kávéfőző(espresso) hiányzott csak.

  Einfach alles war perfekt. Die Lage ist perfekt fürAusflüge aller Art,das kleine Häuschen liegt sehr ruhig,die Aussicht war unbeschreiblich schön! Vom Bett aus kann man schon den Meerblick genießen. Die Terasse ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet mit vielen süßen Details. Der Pool ist klein,aber fein und eine wunderbare Abkühlung.2 bequeme Liegen und 2 Liegestühle waren auch vorhanden.Die Außendusche ist ebenfalls mit Meerblick und wunderschön gestaltet.Es gab genug Badetücher und Handtücher und die Klimaanlage im Zimmer hatte sogar einen Schlafmodus,so dass es sehr angenehm war. Duschgel und Shampoo waren genauso vorhanden wie Geschirrspülmittel,Öl,Salz,Pfeffer,Tee,Toastbrot,Butter,Käse,Milch,O-Saft uvm.Der Gastgeber war sehr umsichtig,hat uns einen prall gefüllten Kühlschrank übergeben und uns Mitte der Woche noch mit selbstgebackenen Kuchen verwöhnt und zum Abschied gab es auch noch eine regionale Süßigkeit. Ich habe noch nie so einen netten Gastgeber erlebt!Nach Stegna Beach mit vielen wunderbaren Lokalen geht man zu Fuß nur wenige Minuten über einen malerischen Schleichweg.Die Kleinstadt Archangelos erreicht man mit dem Auto ebenfalls nur in ein paar Minuten. Und in der Nähe gibt es Supermärkte, einsame Badebuchten und Strände. Rhodos Stadt ist auch nur 30 Minuten entfernt.
  Fazit:Es fiel uns sehr schwer diesen wunderbaren Ort wieder zu verlassen.

  Die Outdoor Dusche ist ein Traum 😍. Außerdem ist es sehr ruhig gelegen und der private Pool ist ebenfalls ein Highlight. Die Klimaanlage im Haus funktioniert super und der Kühlschrank war gut gefüllt 🥰. 5 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Strand und eine Minute mit dem Auto. Filio ist zudem eine super Gastgeberin, die jederzeit alle Fragen beantwortet hat.

  Wunderschöne Location, Top Lage in Stegna.
  Kontakt zum Gastgeber unglaublich gut und hilfsbedürftig.
  Jede Frage wird auf WhatsApp sofort bearbeitet, Gastgeber ist sofort Vorort wenn es an etwas fehlt.
  Der Gastgeber hat uns extrem geholfen im Zuge der Waldbrände.
  Der Bungalow ist sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet, am Strand ist man in 5 Minuten.
  WLAN ist top im Vergleich zu anderen Locations in Rhodos.
  Der Fernseher ist ein Smart TV mit Netflix, YouTube etc.
  
  What could be improved: Eigentlich alles perfekt.
  Nur ein Toaster und etwas mehr Abwechslung beim Frühstuck wäre der Weg zur Perfektion ☺️

  Velice ochotná majitelka, nadstandardní servis, tipy na výlety. Výborná snídaně. Klidné místo. Pěkný výhled.
  
  What could be improved: Jediný problém, proč nemůžeme dát 10 bodů je sprcha. Přes den se moc nedá vysprchovat. Teče pouze vařící voda, studená tak cca 5 vteřin. Zřejmě je voda v boilerech na střeše, kam celý den praží slunce… Kdyby toto majitelka nějak vyřešila, bylo by to perfektní!

  Schöner Ausblick, nicht weit vom Meer.
  Kommunikation mit Vermieterin Filio per Whatsapp, super! Tolle Tipps zur Erkundung der Umgebung. Es gibt tatsächlich Frühstück/einen gut befüllten Kühlschrank. Man kommt an und der Urlaub beginnt sofort.
