Honestly, when I first walked up to 65 Agias Lavras, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside – it’s just this unassuming building on a quiet residential street. But man, was I wrong. This four-bedroom apartment is absolutely gorgeous inside, and I mean the kind of place where you actually want to hang out instead of just crashing after a day of sightseeing.

The location is actually perfect if you know Rhodes Town at all. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos of the Old Town (trust me, you’ll appreciate this when those cruise ships roll in), but it’s maybe a ten-minute walk to all the action. Agias Lavras is one of those local streets where you’ll see Greek families going about their daily business – there’s something really authentic about hearing kids playing in the courtyard below and smelling someone’s grandmother cooking dinner next door. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental. All four bedrooms are properly sized – not those cramped European hotel rooms where you can barely open your suitcase. The living area has these big windows that let in amazing light, and the kitchen is actually functional. I mean, you could cook a real meal here if you wanted to, though with all the incredible tavernas nearby, you probably won’t.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail. The owner clearly lives here or at least cares about it like they do – everything from the linens to the coffee maker just works properly. You know how sometimes vacation rentals feel like they’re furnished with whatever was left over from someone’s garage sale? Not here. It’s tasteful without being stuffy, comfortable without being cheap. The Wi-Fi is solid (important if you’re trying to upload all those sunset photos from Lindos), and the air conditioning actually keeps up with the Greek summer heat. Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood – it’s street parking mostly, and you might have to circle the block once or twice during busy periods. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to move your car much anyway. The 9.6 rating makes total sense to me because this place just gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress you with gimmicky amenities you’ll never use. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself planning your next Rhodes trip before you’ve even left.

  The apartment was stunning. Everything was brand new and freshly remodeled and very clean. We had a family of 5, but you could easily fit more especially with the extra bathrooms and showers. Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to make a meal. Location was pretty central and a few close small markets for convenience.

  La straordinaria gentilezza dei proprietari che ci hanno messo a disposizione la casa anche prima dell' orario del check-in: è stato davvero prezioso per noi. La posizione (in dieci minuti si raggiungono a piedi le mura della città antica, quartiere residenziale tranquillo dove si riesce a parcheggiare gratuitamente in strada senza troppi problemi), l' ampiezza e comodità del soggiorno e della cucina nuovissima e molto accessoriata (è dotata, ad esempio, di macchinetta per espresso, piastra per tostare il pane, microonde ecc.e abbiamo trovato capsule del caffè, tisane e pure una bottiglia di vino!), la lavatrice nuova e super tecnologica, i lunghi balconcini che corrono lungo la casa dove si può stendere il bucato.

  Σίγουρα θα ξανά επιστρέψω.
  Εμείς νοικιασαμε minibus και ειχαμε και δικό μας parking έξω από το κατάλυμα της εισόδου.
