You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in the Greek islands, but Ethereum Villa in Asgourou caught me completely off guard. I mean, when you first pull up to this spot on Odisea Eliti – and honestly, your GPS might get a little confused finding it – you’re not expecting much from the outside. It’s this unassuming place tucked away from the main tourist strips, which actually turned out to be exactly what I didn’t know I needed.

The thing about Asgourou is that it’s still got that authentic Greek vibe without the cruise ship crowds you get in some of the more obvious spots. The villa sits perfectly positioned where you can actually hear the morning goat bells (I’m not kidding) mixed with the distant sound of waves. The owners – and I think they’re local because they knew every single person who walked by – they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between comfort and character. The rooms have this lived-in elegance, you know? Like someone’s stylish aunt decorated them with actual thought instead of just ordering everything from a hotel catalog. The stone work is gorgeous, probably original, and the way the light filters through in the afternoon… well, it’s the kind of thing that makes you put your phone down for once.

What really sold me though was the breakfast situation – they serve it on this terrace that overlooks the valley, and honestly, the tomatoes alone are worth the trip. I kept asking where they got them because they tasted like actual tomatoes, not the watery things you usually get at hotels. The staff mentioned they’re from a farm just down the hill, which makes sense because everything felt incredibly fresh. Parking was easy too, which if you’ve driven around Greece, you know that’s not always a given. The evenings get perfectly quiet – no late-night party noise, just the occasional motorbike puttering by and the sound of people chatting on their balconies. I actually slept better here than I have in months. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that stuffy front desk formality, just genuine people who seemed genuinely happy you’d chosen their place. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like you’ve discovered something rather than just booked something, this is it.

  An absolutely beautiful villa with a breathtaking view from the terrace, which also hosts a stunning pool.
  The rooms are very clean and really modern.
  They host a basement which holds basically as a 2nd apartment.
  The check in and check out was so smooth with our hostes being super friendly and helpful to us and our needs.
  
  We can really recommend this villa and will certainly be back.

  at first, we loved the view to the sea. it's a gorgeous villa in a nice and quiet place with fine decorations, smooth lighting and a beautiful pool next to it. we enjoyed every hour here. and we will definitely come back <3

  The place is marvelous, very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and very comfortable, feels like home. The pool and ping pong table were a great success with the kids. The villa is located outside of the city, 10min drive to great beaches and the city. Our host Georgia was very kind and caring, that we now consider her a friend 🙂
