Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Greek beach resorts, and honestly? Esperides Beach Resort caught me off guard in the best way. It’s right there on the stretch between Faliraki and Kallithea beach – you know that perfect spot where the water gets this incredible turquoise color but you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of Faliraki’s main strip. The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this sense that someone actually thought about the details here. The marble floors stay cool even in August heat, and they’ve got these gorgeous local stone accents that feel authentically Greek rather than some designer’s idea of what Greece should look like.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between lively and relaxing. The pool area – and I mean this – actually has enough loungers for everyone, even during peak season in July. I’ve seen too many places where you’re basically fighting other guests at 6 AM for a decent spot. Here, the layout just works. The main pool flows naturally into this quieter section where you can actually hear yourself think, while the livelier side has the swim-up bar (which, let’s be honest, makes excellent freddo cappuccinos). The beach access is what sold me though – it’s literally a two-minute walk through their garden path, and you end up on this stretch of sand that’s somehow less crowded than the public areas just a few hundred meters away. The water here is perfect for swimming, not too shallow like some parts of Rhodes, and the tavernas nearby serve proper Greek food, not the tourist stuff. I’m talking about places like Kastro just down the beach where locals actually eat.

The rooms themselves are solid – nothing revolutionary, but they’ve clearly been updated recently. Air conditioning that actually works (crucial in Greek summers), decent water pressure, and those little touches like proper blackout curtains and USB outlets by the bed. You know what I appreciated? The balconies are actually big enough to sit on with your morning coffee, and most have either sea glimpses or overlook their surprisingly lush gardens. The breakfast spread is honestly better than most 4-star places I’ve tried – they do this amazing Greek yogurt with local honey that I’m still thinking about. Staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given at resort hotels. Check-in was smooth, they helped arrange a rental car without the usual runaround, and the housekeeping was spot-on throughout our stay. With an 8.5 rating, I expected decent, but this place delivers something a bit special – it’s got that rare combination of being professionally run while still feeling like you’re experiencing the real Rhodes rather than some sanitized resort bubble.

  • Natalie from United Kingdom – 10 June 2025 (8/10)

The breakfasts were great every day, refreshed regularly, lots of choice. Tables always available and managed really well. Lunch was also good and varied with the two options to eat in. On 2 nights the dinners were also great, lots of choice, hot and really tasty. Snacks and drinks available through the day and into the evening (iced coffee, water, alcoholic options, doughnuts, waffles, loads of fruit) were the most varied we've had at an all inclusive.

Lots of spaces to hang out in both indoors and out, almost enough sunbeds (we found at least one each day, most days one each and we did mostly only use the pool in the afternoons, going out for the mornings), 4yo loved the slides and the lifeguard on them!

Room had all we needed and was cleaned well each day, bottled water topped up and really great to have the fridge.

All but one of the staff we interacted with were really friendly and everyone was working really hard. The dining rooms and outdoor spaces remained pretty spotless all day and evening with non stop cleaning. The entertainment staff said hi to the kids. The reception staff were helpful and we felt welcomed. Definitely the best staff we've seen at a large hotel.

The bus outside down towards Lindos or Rhodes doesn't seem to always show up on Google maps but is there! It's cheap and regular enough and the desk have timetable printed out. The boat round to Rhodes from the pier on the beach as well makes the location great to travel out from.

We felt looked after enough to relax and apart from some really minor bits, couldn't have asked for more!

What could be improved: We couldn't find the mini golf or table tennis table anywhere. We asked and were taken to the mini club! Not too much of an issue but would have been if 4yo had been told we'd be doing those things in advance!

A couple of the nights, the dinner options were pretty unappealing, though always plenty of good salads, breads and desserts on offer so we were never at risk of going hungry! The off brand fizzy drinks were not to our taste at all.

Food, water slides, cleanliness, personnel, Pink Positive animation team, beach (mix sand and pebble), very clean sea, Water park nearby, weather, lizards and beatles, coctails, ice-cream, Greek donuts

What could be improved: No available electrical sockets in the room. Towel hangers only for two persons, we were a family of three

  • Malkeet from United Kingdom – 29 May 2025 (8/10)

Breakfast was very good, had variety and lots of choice. The staff were excellent, very professional and always willing to help beyond their duty.

Lunch and dinner was also very good.

The napoli tamato sauce each day was great.

    The desserts were also wonderful.

Being vegetarian and not eating eggs and fish, there could have been an additional cooked veg dish each day.

The chef made a special veg pizza for us with olives, onions etc that was good

What could be improved: Overall the whole stay was good, the hotel was very busy with lots of European families and visitors, it was noisy at times

Next time will choose a quiter period to visit

Everything work well, clean and very good service

  • Mohammed from Sweden – 14 May 2025 (9/10)

My experience at Esperides Beach Resort was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, everything exceeded our expectations. The entire team was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the services were excellent, and the location was simply perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

I would like to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to Mr. Ilias Charos, whose exceptional support and kind attention made our stay even more special. His efforts to ensure we had the best possible experience truly meant a lot to us.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes, and I will definitely be encouraging all my friends and family to stay here in the future.

Thank you again for a memorable holiday!

  • Luke from United Kingdom – 22 April 2025 (7/10)

Beautiful big resort. Spacious dining areas. We went in April so it was quiet-ish. Clean and tidy.

What could be improved: Paper thin walls. Screaming kids running up and down the corridor very late at night and early hours in the morning. Freezing cold pool.

  • Eldin from Czech Republic – 2 October 2024 (9/10)

the resort is amazing, a wide variety of amazing food, everything was clean, staff was really nice

What could be improved: this is a family resort, so some children were screaming and yelling in the hallway in the morning which woke me up few times, which I would take into consideration for next time

  • Jayne from United Kingdom – 23 September 2024 (8/10)

Location, choices of food, swimming pools and price. brought in alot

What could be improved: Also upon arrival ( which was late) there was a curtain missing which let in a lot of light. We woke up early with the light shining through and very tired that day. This was rectified by the housekeeper the following day using an odd curtain which was a little better, however the room should not have been allocated in this state.
After eating in the restaurant on our last night, three of us were very sick for 12 hours travelling home the following day.
The shower was no a proper shower but a shower head connected at the bottom of the wall ( why would you not attach this at the top so that you can stand beneath it?

  • Demiriya from Israel – 5 September 2024 (9/10)

The room was an upgrade from the twin I've expected, and allowed me to better accomodate my mom and kids. It was clean, and frankly, it was the first time my kids saw a bunk bed, so it amused them.
The wifi signal was great across all the property.
Food is amazing, well made and many options to choose from, with daily themes (I'm a fan of the asian cuisine myself, so double the fun). From 7:00 to 20:00 there's always something to eat, snack or treat yourself to. The fruit fridge is a nice touch to encourage kids to eat healthy.
The pools, water slides and beach are clean, with plenty of beds to relax while the kids tire themselves. Many activities for kids under 12 (my older teen simply chose the pool).
The staff is quick to respond to any issue and glad to help.
A bus stop nearby would take you to Rhodos or other places. The giant waterpark in about 10 minutes walking is a good place to visit during the stay.

What could be improved: The seaside rooms face the concert area, so expect some music until 21:30 at least. It's a matter of taste, I guess.
And I honestly can't understand why there's no door to the shower room. I mean, there's a glass door to the shower, but if I need to brush my teeth and freshen up in the morning, I have to warn my kids to avoid that area for a while.
The shower only had soap. Luckily I brought some from home (a habit of mine) and there's some in the hotel shop. Still, I'd prefer to have it provided, respectfully.
