You can walk to the Palace of the Grand Master in about five minutes, but when you come home in the evening, you’re on a peaceful residential street where locals actually live. The medieval Old Town is right there — I mean, you can practically touch those ancient walls — but you’re also close enough to the New Town’s restaurants and shops that you never feel stuck in one area. Plus, and this is huge for Rhodes, there’s free parking right there, which saves you from the nightmare of circling around looking for a spot.

You’ve got a proper kitchen if you want to grab some local ingredients from the market, which I’d definitely recommend doing at least once. The apartment is clean and well-maintained, with that comfortable lived-in feeling that makes you want to actually relax rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions. Air conditioning works perfectly too, which you’ll appreciate during those hot Rhodes afternoons when you need to escape the sun for a bit.

Getting Around Rhodes

From Emerald Cozy Apartment, you can walk pretty much everywhere that matters in Rhodes Town. The harbor where the ferries come in is maybe a ten-minute stroll, and if you’re planning day trips to Lindos or around the island, you’re perfectly positioned to catch buses or pick up a rental car. What’s really nice is that you can walk back from dinner in the Old Town without it feeling like a trek — there’s something magical about wandering through those medieval streets at night and then heading back to your quiet neighborhood. The beach at Elli is also walkable, though it’s a bit of a hike if you’re loaded down with beach gear.

  Appartamento nuovo e attrezzatissimo. Host molto disponibile e gentile. Posizione strategica 5 minuti a piedi dalla porta di ingresso alla città medievale e 20 minuti dalla città nuova, si trova in zona residenziale molto tranquilla.

  Everything was great. The apartment is quite spacious, very clean and has two balconies. The two hosts were extremely friendly and communicated very well – they even recommended a free city concert to me which I would not have been able to find myself. Overall great experience.
