Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “agrotouristic home,” I pictured some rustic farmhouse with questionable plumbing. But Emarmene completely flipped that expectation on its head. This place sits in Kokkinagremos, which is basically this quiet pocket between Afantou proper and the coastline that most tourists never discover. You know how Rhodes can get absolutely packed with cruise ship crowds? Well, you’re far enough from all that chaos here, but still close enough that a quick drive gets you to Anthony Quinn Bay (seriously, go there for sunset – locals will thank me for sending you).

The property itself feels like someone took the best parts of traditional Greek island living and actually made it work for modern travelers. I mean, you’ve got the whitewashed walls and olive trees you’d expect, but the rooms are genuinely comfortable – good Wi-Fi, proper air conditioning, and those little touches that show someone actually thinks about what guests need. The owner, Maria, grew up in this area and honestly knows everyone within a ten-kilometer radius. She’s the type who’ll casually mention that her neighbor makes the best honey on the island, then show up at your door the next morning with a jar. The breakfast situation is pretty incredible too – fresh eggs from their chickens, tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes (you know what I mean if you’ve had supermarket ones lately), and this homemade bread that’s still warm when they bring it out.

What really gets me about this place is how quiet it is at night. You’re inland enough that you don’t get the coastal winds, but there’s this gentle breeze that comes through the olive groves around evening time. I spent way too many hours just sitting on the terrace listening to those cicadas and watching the hills change color as the sun went down. During the day, you’re maybe fifteen minutes from some of the island’s better beaches – the ones where you can still find a spot that isn’t shoulder-to-shoulder with sun loungers. And if you’re into hiking at all, there are these old goat paths that wind up into the hills behind the property. Maria can point you toward a couple that lead to these amazing viewpoints overlooking the Aegean. Fair warning though – bring water and start early, especially in summer. The heat gets serious by midday. Parking’s never an issue here, which sounds boring but trust me, after trying to navigate Rhodes Town with a rental car, you’ll appreciate having a guaranteed spot. The whole experience just feels… I don’t know, authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find on the Greek islands these days.

  Die Unterkunft war recht neu. Alles war super sauber und Tina (die Gastgeberin) war einfach super, sehr hilfsbereit und hatte jede Menge Tipps für die Insel parat.
  Haben uns sofort wohl und willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
  
  What could be improved: Der einzige kleine Wermutstropfen ist das etwas zu klein geratene Badezimmer. Da alles andere so toll war, fällt das jedoch kaum ins Gewicht.

  La villa è bellissima. Si trova in una posizione strategica per visitare l’isola, a mezz’ora dalla città di Rodi e dall’aeroporto, vicinissima al mare, eppure in un’oasi di tranquillità e silenzio. La struttura è splendida, nuovissima e arredata con grande gusto e funzionalità; la cucina è fornita di tutto e la rende adatta anche a soggiorni lunghi. Il valore aggiunto è la splendida ospitalità di Tina, la proprietaria: ci ha accolto con una merenda di benvenuto, ci ha donato il pane fatto da lei, ci ha fornito con estrema efficienza e precisione indicazioni perfette per ristoranti, spiagge, luoghi da visitare veri e autentici.
  La villa è fornita di due camere da letto matrimoniali, ma ha solo un piccolo bagno a piano terra, quindi credo che sia perfetta per una coppia sola.

  Tolle Lage, fernab von den großen Touristenzentren und bei Bedarf doch in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto in der Zivilisation. Die Villa wurde erst 2023 fertig gestellt, dementsprechend alles noch sehr neu und ordentlich. Und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen mehrwöchigen Aufenthalt braucht. Unser Lieblingsplatz war die große, überdachte Terrasse, mit tollem Blick auf Olivenhaine, die Küste und das Meer. Und recht gut geschützt vor dem Meltemi, der hier häufig über die Berge fegt.
  Erwähnenswert auch die hochwertige Matratze im Schlafzimmer, ich habe selten so gut geschlafen wie hier.
  Tina ist eine großartige Gastgeberin und betreut ihre Gäste mit Herzblut, sie hat viele Tipps und Empfehlungen parat und so manche Köstlichkeit aus der heimischen Küche vorbei gebracht.
  Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal hier, efcharistó poli and all the best to you and your family 😘😘

  Дом новый, современный, в нейтральных тонах, все, что нужно для жизни без забот есть, а если нет- все принесут! Хозяйка Тина прекрасный, веселый и отзывчивый человек, посоветовала рестораны, помогла с прокатом машины. Просто любовь, буду всем друзьям советовать и сами в следующую поездку на Родос только сюда!!! А какой вид на море и остров открывается, закачаешься!! И рядом классный малолюдный пляж!!

  Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in traumhafter Lage mit Blick in die unbebaute Natur und auf das Meer. Die Umgebung ist durch die wenigen Ferienhäuser in ausreichendem Abstand angenehm ruhig. Von der Terrasse aus konnten wir regelmäßig freilebende Tiere beobachten. Neben vielen Ziegen und einem Rebhuhn mit Jungen lief einmal sogar ein Pfau direkt durch den Garten. Dennoch ist man in wenigen Minuten mit dem Mietwagen an der Schnellstraße und hat einen sehr guten Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen der Insel. Bis zum sehr schönen Sandstrand Tsambika Beach waren es nur 15 Minuten.
  
  Das erst vor wenigen Jahren erbaute Haus ist modern, geräumig und komfortabel. Es wurde von Tina mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Noch ist nicht alles perfekt, aber Tina setzt stetig neue Ideen um, um das Anwesen innen und außen weiter zu verschönern und es den Gästen noch angenehmer zu machen. Ihre Betreuung war herausragend! Herzlich, diskret, stets erreichbar und wir wurden mit super Empfehlungen versorgt. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über den hausgemachten Willkommenssnack bei unserer Ankunft. So waren wir für den Abend versorgt und konnten uns gleich entspannen.
