Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Elysium Resort & Spa? It’s actually tucked away from the main Faliraki strip chaos – and I mean that in the best possible way. When you’re driving down toward Kallithea Beach, you’ll spot it nestled between the rocky coastline and those gorgeous pine-covered hills that make this stretch of Rhodes so damn photogenic. The moment you pull up (parking’s handled by valet, thank god, because maneuvering rental cars around here can be a nightmare), you realize this isn’t your typical Greek island resort.
The lobby hits different than most five-star places – there’s this subtle blend of modern elegance with authentic Greek touches that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. Honestly, the check-in was smoother than anywhere I’ve stayed on the islands, and the staff actually seemed to know the area beyond just pointing you toward Lindos. They clued me into this little taverna about ten minutes up the coast road that locals frequent – the kind of tip you don’t get from cookie-cutter resort experiences. The rooms, well, they’re legitimately stunning without being over-the-top. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame either the Aegean or those rolling hills I mentioned, and the marble bathrooms feel more like private spas. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing – you’re close enough to Faliraki’s nightlife if you want it, but far enough that you’re not hearing drunk Brits singing football chants at 3 AM.
The spa deserves its own paragraph because it’s genuinely exceptional – not just “resort spa decent” but actually world-class. They use local olive oil and sea salt in treatments that left me more relaxed than I’d been in months. The infinity pool area is where you’ll spend most of your time though, and timing matters here. Early morning or late afternoon, you’ve got it mostly to yourself with incredible views over Kallithea Bay. Mid-day gets busier with families, but it never feels overcrowded like some of the mega-resorts further south. The beach access is private and the water’s that perfect turquoise you see in photos but rarely experience in person – honestly, it rivals anything I’ve seen in the Cyclades. Food-wise, they’ve nailed that balance between international options and authentic Greek cuisine. The seafood comes from local fishermen (you can literally watch them bringing in the catch from your balcony some mornings), and their Greek salad might ruin you for anywhere else. Sure, it’s pricey, but Rhodes in general has gotten more expensive, and you’re paying for genuine quality here rather than inflated resort markup. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between luxury and authenticity on Rhodes – somewhere you can actually relax without feeling like you’re missing out on the real Greece – this place delivers in ways that honestly surprised me.

Fabulous Hotel on a lovely beach. It was a bit Stoney but a beautiful location. Everything was second to none and the staff were very helpful with anything you needed. My son is a Celiac and the service manger could not do enough for him. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes
What could be improved: The only thing about it was that you had to get a bus or a taxi to shops and restaurants outside of the hotels facilities but that was itAnastasiia from Finland – 14 June 2025 (10/10)
first class holiday! the staff was very polite and professional, the beach is right next to the hotel (pebbles). You can spend your entire holiday without leaving the hotel: bars, restaurants and a shop are on site.
Thank you for an incredible holiday!
What could be improved: There's nothing to write here…everything was amazing!Herb from South Africa – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
Dining room staff were exceptional, glaringly so well managed and enthusiastic and helpful in their work- as were general staff. It was a most pleasant experuience.

The Elysium is great. We stayed for two nights there and really enjoyed our stay. The sea view rooms are great, and the facilities are lovely. It’s a huge hotel to navigate and lots to do. For me, the shining star was the hotel gym which was really well equipped compared to other hotels. The staff were always welcoming and helpful as well. We booked into the sauna and steam room on our last day and really enjoyed it too.
What could be improved: The food wasn’t incredible and not what you’d expect from a 5 star resort. But, there were plenty of choices at breakfast to try out. Arguably, a five star hotel should have some kind of barista or proper coffee service as opposed to machine made coffee. So, that would have been welcomed!Ameneh from Germany – 12 October 2024 (9/10)
This is a very nice hotel in a good location, with a nice and clean pebble beach (you need swimming shoes). The hotel amenities and facilities are excellent, nice pool, good restaurants, great spa. Although we were there in August during the high season, it never felt too crowded. Almost all staff are very friendly. We gave some feedback for minor improvements while we were there, and it was amazing how the staff dealt with it. They sent some sparking wine and fresh fruits to our room, which was a very nice gesture. They also surprised my husband with a birthday cake. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and we’ll definitely go back.
What could be improved: The rooms are ok, but I think there’s room for improvement given this is a five-star hotel. Especially the doors are not sound-proof and you can hear the noise from the road.Mili from Australia – 6 October 2024 (10/10)
The hotel was conveniently located near the bus stop which was very helpful while travelling. The hotel itself was beautiful with access to beach and pool. You can actually spend hours inside. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful. Overall we had an amazing time there.

Everything, fabulous location.
Staff were so nice , from cleaners to bar staff, waiters, beach staff, etc
They were all so helpful and sociable
Food in Fresh and Emerald restraunts was great
Breakfast in the PR restraunt was great
Music in beach bar was the best
Definitely planning a revisit next year.
What could be improved: As an Elite client, we felt the free all day drinks and buffet location was located in a bad place, windowless room with no view on level 2.
We were reluctant to come indoors to have these freebies , so did not avail of the service as we thought we would.
Were advised we had to eat and drink in the room.
Who goes on a sun holiday to sit in a windowless room !
Perhaps a better ,outdoor location or a space on RL with a sea view.
As an elite client we expected to use the Serenity facilities I.e the pool but were told only if we paid or had a treatment.
The Serenity pool never seemed used that much, which is a shame.
