Hotel Description

So I’ve been staying at the Elite Hotel on Pserimou Street whenever I’m in Rhodes Town, and honestly, it’s become my go-to spot for a reason. You know how some places just get it right without trying too hard? That’s this place. It’s tucked away on this quiet side street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re literally a three-minute stroll from all the medieval town chaos – which is perfect because you get the best of both worlds.

The thing about this hotel is that it actually feels Greek, if that makes sense. I mean, sure, it’s got all the modern stuff you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, but there’s something authentic about it that’s hard to find in Rhodes Town these days. The staff genuinely seems to care – not in that overly rehearsed way, but like they’re actually invested in making sure you have a good time. The woman at reception (I think her name is Maria?) always remembers my coffee preference, which is such a small thing but it matters, you know? And the rooms… well, they’re not going to win any design awards, but they’re comfortable and clean, with these thick stone walls that keep things surprisingly cool even in July heat. The AC works great too, which – trust me – is not a given in some of these older buildings.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location. Pserimou Street is one of those streets where you’ll see more locals than tourists, especially in the mornings when everyone’s heading to work. There’s this little bakery about thirty seconds from the hotel entrance that does these incredible cheese pies for breakfast – way better than the hotel breakfast, honestly, though theirs isn’t bad either. And here’s something most people don’t realize: you can actually walk through the medieval walls to Mandraki Harbor in about eight minutes if you know the right route (just ask at reception, they’ll draw you a little map). No need to deal with the main tourist drags unless you want to. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – the street’s pretty narrow – but there’s a public lot just around the corner that’s not too expensive. The 8.5 rating this place gets feels about right to me. It’s not luxury, but it’s solid and dependable, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a place like Rhodes where the real attraction is outside your hotel room anyway.

Reviews

While the staff last year was even better, this year again I found a mostly friendly staff happy to help the guests. Great location! Nice views! Nice linens. Lots of good breakfast choices, with good (though not the highest) quality. Nice spinach pies, but terrible juices, for example. The clean modern design is functional and pleasant, though the materials are already degrading the way Ikea furniture does (probably not the best quality).

What could be improved: A number of signs of maintenance problems. This is basically a three star hotel with a well trained staff offering services at a four star level. The design is clean and functional, rather than characterful. Still, I would happily stay here again.

    Great breakfast

  • Ludmila from United States – 23 May 2025 (9/10)

Most convenient location, every thing which is important for a tourist is in an easily walking distance. The room is small, but comfy, with a beautiful balcony and a sea view, it was a great pleasure to snack or drink something sitting there and looking at the amazing view. And the staff had been totally accommodating, helpful, and wonderfully friendly. Really enjoyed my stay at Elite!!!👌

What could be improved: Not a thing!

  • Gillian from United Kingdom – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

Lovely hotel at a reasonable price.
We asked for a late check out and it was free until 4pm as the room wasn’t needed.
Breakfast was great and lots of choice.

What could be improved: Breakfast room was a little cramped, with only one coffee machine I could imagine when the hotel is full it would cause congestion.

  • Eric from Sweden – 4 May 2025 (8/10)

    Breakfast was very good.

  • Neal from United Kingdom – 3 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location, very clean, the staff are super friendly.

What could be improved: The lift is very very small, we stayed in the 5th floor and used the stairs only.

  • Luke from United Kingdom – 13 April 2025 (9/10)

The room was well equipped. Small but perfect for 2 people. Staff were lovely. Brilliant location. Housekeeping was really good too. Great value for money.

  • Marija from Lithuania – 3 November 2024 (9/10)

Hotel location is perfect near city centre and beach. Staff was really friendly, really appreciate for late check out flexibility.

  • Kaisa from Estonia – 23 October 2024 (9/10)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel from the moment we first stepped into the lobby until the last goodbyes.
On our day of arrival we got to the hotel really early, but the staff was immediately very nice to us and we got an earlier check-in.
The room itself was small, however really well put together. Everything needed for a nice stay was there. The room was nice and tidy and we couldn’t fault a thing.
The selection of breakfast was rather small, but all the food was tasty and even the breakfast staff was really nice and welcoming every single morning.
On the day of our departure, we asked for a late check-out and as always the staff was kinder than ever and let us stay even longer than we could ever hope.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to all the staff we had the pleasure to meet. Not places but people make experiences and all the wonderful staff in Elite Hotel definitely made ours a warm and welcomed one.
