You know what really hits you when you first pull up to the Electra Palace Rhodes? It’s not just another beachfront resort trying too hard to impress – this place actually gets it right. Sitting right on Trianta Beach in Ialyssos, it’s got that perfect sweet spot location where you’re close enough to Rhodes Town (maybe 15 minutes by car) but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds every morning. The lobby’s got this understated elegance thing going on – marble and warm lighting without feeling like you walked into a museum, if that makes sense.

Here’s the thing about this place that I really appreciate: they’ve nailed the all-inclusive concept without making you feel like you’re eating cafeteria food. The breakfast spread is honestly impressive (and I’m picky about hotel breakfasts), with fresh local honey, proper Greek yogurt, and they actually make decent coffee – not that watery stuff you get at some resorts. The main restaurant does themed nights throughout the week, and their Greek night is worth timing your stay around. I mean, you’re in Rhodes, so you’ll probably eat out in town anyway, but it’s nice knowing you’ve got solid backup options. The pool area can get pretty lively during peak season – families with kids definitely love this place – but there are quieter corners if you’re looking to actually read that book you brought.

What really sets this apart is how they handle the details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than a night. The rooms are spacious (like, actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), and most have either sea or pool views that don’t require you to crane your neck around a building. Air conditioning works properly – crucial for those July and August visits – and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t spend your vacation complaining about your back. Staff genuinely seems happy to help with things like restaurant recommendations or arranging car rentals, and they know the area well enough to steer you toward the good local spots instead of just the touristy ones. The beach right outside is clean and well-maintained, though it does get busy during peak hours. Pro tip: early morning walks along the shore are pretty spectacular, especially if you’re dealing with jet lag anyway. With an 8.8 rating, this isn’t some hidden gem that’s perfect in every way, but it’s the kind of place where the things that matter most – location, food quality, comfortable rooms, helpful staff – are all handled really well. It’s particularly great if you want a proper resort experience but still plan to explore Rhodes and the surrounding area.

  everything about the hotel was very good the staff could not be more helpful especially ANNA and ANGELINA the bar area just outside the restaurant the service from GEORGE was very good and last but not least DONNA our room attendant (2012) please pass on our thoughts and appreciation to these members of staff

  beuatiful large hotel. Lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds. Bakery and ice cream parlour open all day in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals and choice and cleanliness were very good. Room was clean and lovely.
  
  What could be improved: The evening entertainment could have been better. But it didnt spoil our evenings. It was good that the loud entertainment was poolside, so it didnt take over the atmosphere in the hotel.

  We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront property! One of the best things is that the hotel is right on the beach—you don’t need to cross any streets like you do with many others in the area. It was perfect for us, especially since I was 7 months pregnant and traveling with our 16-month-old toddler.
  
  A special thank you to Tania at the reception, who truly went above and beyond. She helped us with everything—booking restaurants, giving us great recommendations, and even offering us a complimentary late check-out when our flight changed. Her kindness and support made our stay so much smoother and more enjoyable.
  
  The entire staff was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The cleaning lady even gifted a ball to our toddler, which made his day! The on-site Greek restaurant was unbelievably good—delicious food and great atmosphere.
  
  This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. We felt so well taken care of and can’t wait to come back!

  The hotel exceed our expectations. The room was wonderful, the pool was amazing but the best part was the food at the buffet.
  The staff of the hotel is amazing. We’ve asked the chef to prepare us unsalted soup for our baby and everyday we’ve had a different soup for our baby. The food quality and variety is beyond every other hotel we’ve hav been.
  
  What could be improved: The sunbed reservation by people in the morning and during lunchtime.
  They lack towels hangers in the bathroom.

  Perfect balance, for young families, not too hectic. No one fighting over beds. Super clean, lovely food and service. Everyone very helpful.

  the food, personal, pool was perfect. Close to airport, so comfortable to travel. Activities ware nice
  
  What could be improved: Location of the hotel is not the best, in this part of island is very windy and not so comfortable to walk somewhere, cause there are no sidewalk and if you are with kids its difficult.
  Drinks (mostly cocktail's are nicely done but taste like spirit… spirit with syrup)
  I also do not recommend visiting Italian restaurant, food was disappointing, better stay in main restaurant.

  Truly the most beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Had the best experience from wonderful day trips to nearby Old Town Rhodes & Lindos (transfers easily booked through the hotel), to relaxing days spent by the beach, pool & wonderful amenities provided by the hotel.
