You know what surprised me most about El Sueno Villa? It’s tucked away in Gennadi where you actually feel like you’ve escaped the tourist madness of Rhodes Town, but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere either. I mean, Gennadi isn’t exactly a hidden gem anymore, but this place sits just far enough from the main strip that you get these incredible quiet mornings on your balcony without feeling cut off from everything.

The villa itself has that authentic Greek feel without trying too hard – honestly, I’ve stayed at so many places that slap some blue paint on everything and call it “traditional.” This feels more lived-in, if that makes sense. The rooms are genuinely spacious (not just European-spacious), and the beds are actually comfortable, which – let’s be real – isn’t always a given even at four-star places. What really got me was the attention to small stuff: they’ve got proper shower pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and there’s enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your chargers. The kind of details that make you think someone who actually travels designed this place.

The location works perfectly if you want to explore the southern part of the island without dealing with the crowds up north. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk to Gennadi Beach, which honestly has some of the best swimming on Rhodes – the water stays shallow for ages, so it’s perfect whether you’re traveling with kids or just want to float around with a book. Plus, you’re close enough to places like Lindos (about 20 minutes by car) for day trips, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the tour bus chaos every day. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you have what you need – not in that overly rehearsed hospitality way, but more like they actually want you to enjoy your stay. Check-in was smooth, they helped us figure out the best beaches for different days based on wind conditions, and when we had questions about getting to some of the smaller villages, they drew us an actual map with shortcuts the GPS wouldn’t know about. That 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, without any drama or unpleasant surprises.

  Fine, nice house with awesome garden. You will find everything you want in a house for a week or two. You will have a nice pool in your garden. The road is beside the house, but it's still ok. Kitchen is big. 2 rooms, and one open roof galllery for two people. 1 bath+wc and 1 WC.

  The villa was in a great location just down the road from many restaurants and with a car in a great location to explore the Island both up and down. The villa was very well equipped and looked after extremely well by the owners next door. One of the best villas I’ve stayed in.

  everything was wonderful! the house is new and clean and leaves nothing to be desired.   The very friendly and helpful owner was waiting for us at our arrival and showed us around the villa. We got some very nice presents on our arrival, such as jam, juice etc. from the owner.
  The owner´s father lives next door and cleaned the pool everyday.
  The villa and all the equipment is very clean and comfortable.

  Very nice villa. All the necessary comforts. Modern, new and clean.

  Villa is quite far from Rhodes town but we liked the area. Nice view to area and pebble beach close by.

  Flott sted med utrolig hyggelig og imøtekommende eiere😊 Var der med mine 3 barn på 10,17 og 18 år og alle hadde vi en fantastisk ferie.
  Verten kom med en liten velkomstgave med de nødvendige tingene så vi slapp å reise til butikken med en gang.
  Basseng rengjøres av «Papou» hver morgen 😊

  Weg zum Strand langen, sehr einsamen Strand (kleinkieselig) knapp 7 Minuten.
  Eine schöner gemütlicher Ort.
  Der Empfang war herzlich, die Besitzer wohnen direkt neben an. Es wird jeden Tag der Pool gesäubert und wir haben frische Mistelfrüchte geschenkt bekommen.
  Ausstattungsmäßig ist noch Luft nach oben, aber es gibt eine schöne Küche INDOOR und OUTDOOR mit klasse Grillmöglichkeiten.
  
  What could be improved: Haus liegt direkt an einer Landstraße, die nicht sehr stark befahren ist. Aber den Verkehrslärm hört man doch recht laut.

  Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und hatte viel Platz zu bieten. Wir waren zu siebt dort und haben die Zeit richtig genossen. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und aufmerksam. Bei Fragen / Problemen wurde sofort reagiert. Das Haus liegt zwar direkt an der Hauptstraße, dies hat uns aber nicht gestört. Der Strand ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Supersauberes Wasser, wegen den Kieselsteinen sind jedoch Schwimmschuhe auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
