Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to East View Appartment – the name’s pretty straightforward, and sometimes that means boring, right? But Thanasis really knows what he’s doing here. This place sits right on that winding road between Rhodes and Kameiros, and you know what? The view actually delivers on the promise. You’re looking out over this gorgeous stretch of coastline that most tourists completely miss because they’re too busy hitting the crowded beaches closer to Rhodes town.

The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place – if your friend happens to have impeccable taste and actually cares about details. Everything’s clean without being sterile, and there’s this lived-in comfort that you just don’t get at those big resort complexes. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters when you’re picking up fresh fish from the little market in Kalavárda (about a five-minute walk down the hill). Speaking of Kalavárda, it’s one of those villages that feels completely authentic – old Greek ladies still sit outside their houses in the evenings, and the local taverna serves probably the best lamb I’ve had on the island. Thanasis actually gave me directions there on my first day, along with a heads-up about which dishes to order.

What really got me was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re close enough to civilization that you’re not stranded, but far enough out that you can actually hear the waves hitting the rocks below. The parking situation’s easy – there’s space right outside, which is honestly a blessing after dealing with the madness in Rhodes Old Town. Check-in was refreshingly simple too; Thanasis met me personally and walked me through everything, including how to work the slightly temperamental hot water (just give it thirty seconds, he said, and he was right). The WiFi’s solid, the air conditioning works without sounding like a helicopter, and there’s this little balcony where I ended up spending most mornings with coffee, watching the fishing boats head out early. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even packed to leave.

  Perfect accommodation, very clean and tidy. In the kitchen was basic groceries (salt, sugar, olive oil, coffee). The owner Georgia is very kind, welcoming and hospitable person. She prepered for us a few bottle of water, coffe, milk to coffe, crackers and jam, fresh lemon from her garden and full bowl of local fruit.
  Apartment has two space rooms, big terrace, kitchen and bathroom.
  Our stay was amazing. Thank to you Georgia again.

  Przemiła Gospodyni, w kuchni czekały podstawowe produkty, m.in. cytryny prosto z ogródka, sucharki dla głodnych, kawa, śmietanka, na koniec otrzymaliśmy jeszcze owoce z ogródka na drogę:)
